He stated he did not think the old lease should be modified <br /> if the new lease does not happen. Mr. Gilley stated the application <br /> needs to be submitted November 9 in order to access funds. It was <br /> consensus of Council to work on this project and apply for the <br /> grant. The Airport commission requested a joint Workshop with the <br /> Council in the near future. <br /> Mayor Morris introduced the city Manager's Report. (1) Mr. Gilley <br /> advised the cost of architectural plans for two separate projects <br /> for the recreation facility and convention facility will be <br /> $5,000.00 each for a preliminary design and presentation. <br /> Hotel/motel funds could be used to pay for the convention facility <br /> design and an internal account could be used for the recreation <br /> facility design with a budget amendment. At the Council/Task Force <br /> Joint Workshop options will be presented. (2) The Drainage Master <br /> Plan public hearings will begin the first week in December. It was <br /> consensus for Joe Cox to chair the hearings. (3) The Wallace <br /> Neighborhood Association will meet November 9 at 7:00 p.m. to review <br /> several of the neighborhood proposals regarding street alignments. <br /> .(4) The November Employee of the Month is Tony Salinas. <br /> Mayor Morris introduced the City Attorney's Report.~ Mr. Taylor had <br /> no report. <br /> Mayor Morris introduced the City council's Report. The Council had <br /> no report. <br /> Mayor Morris introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the <br /> Government Code, sections 551.071; 551.072 and 551. 073; and 551. 074 <br /> to discuss pending litigation (Tarbutton vs. city of San Marcos); <br /> purchase and value of real property; and evaluations of public <br /> officers (city Attorney and city Secretary), respectively. Mr. <br /> Moore moved to adjourn into Executive Session at 11:59 p.m. and Mr. <br /> Hart seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mr. Plummer moved to reconvene at 12:57 a.m. and Mr. Moore seconded <br /> the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Morris stated the consideration of the city Attorney and city <br /> Secretary's salaries would be considered at the next meeting. <br /> The meeting adjourned at 12:59 a.m. on motion made by Mr. Guerra and <br /> seconded by Mr. Mooney. ~Æ~~ <br /> D' Mayor ~ <br /> ~¿~f1!i.
