1.0.5 The Engineer will not subcontract any work under this Agreement without prior written <br />approval from the City. The Engineer will specify any work or services subcontracted under this <br />Agreement by separate written Agreements and those Agreements will be subject to each provision <br />of this Agreement. <br />1.0.6 Any provisions in this Agreement pertaining to the City's review, approval and/or <br />acceptance of written materials prepared by the Engineer and/or its subconsultants, contractors, <br />and subcontractors in connection with this Agreement will not diminish the Engineer's <br />responsibility for the materials. <br />1.0.7 The Engineer will perform all of its services in coordination with the City. The Engineer <br />will advise the City of data and information the Engineer needs to perform its services and the <br />Engineer will meet with City representatives at mutually convenient times to assemble this data <br />and information. <br />1.0.8 Gary M. Lacy, P.E. is the Engineer's Project Representative assigned to this Project. The <br />Engineer will not substitute another representative for this Project unless approved in writing by <br />the City in advance of such proposed substitution. In the event the City and the Engineer cannot <br />agree to the substitution of the Project Representative, the City may terminate this agreement in <br />accordance with Article 8. <br />1.1 TASK 1— PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND MEETINGS <br />The Engineer will: <br />1.1.1 Assemble a Project team that includes appropriate subconsultants. <br />1. 1.2 Travel to San Marcos to meet with City staff in order identify critical issues of concern and <br />tour of individual sites. <br />1.1.3 Participate in the following meetings: <br />a) Attend monthly Project progress and issues as needed, these maybe conducted through <br />conference call with engineer. Critical meetings including; pre -bid, preconstruction, <br />construction of critical phases will require meeting on site with all parties. In addition <br />attend a review meeting with the City following the submittals for each phase of the <br />Project <br />b) City Department Meetings: Meet with the Community Service Department and other <br />relevant City departments, including the Development Services Department as needed, <br />for the duration of the Project in order to develop and review the required plans and <br />documents. <br />c) Public Meetings: One public meeting to gather input from the community with regard <br />to the Conceptual design of the Project.
