1.3.6 After final approval of the construction drawings by the City, coordinate plan reviews and <br />approvals with the TxDOT Area Office, District Office, and Design Division. <br />1.3.7 Coordinate TDLR review for ADA compliance and address any comments from the <br />review. <br />1.3.8 Provide the City with two half size and two full size sets of conformed construction plans. <br />Provide the Contractor with three half size and two full size sets of conformed construction plans <br />at no additional cost to the City. <br />1.4 TASK 4 — DETAILED COST ESTIMATE <br />The Engineer will: <br />1.4.1 Prepare a detailed engineer's quantity and construction estimate for the Project, including <br />all construction and other related Project costs upon completion of final design review. <br />1.5 TASK 5 - REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL ASSISTANCE <br />The Engineer will: <br />1.5.1 Assist the City in the preparation of addenda (if any) following City's prior approval. <br />1.5.2 Assist the City in obtaining proposals, tabulating proposals, preparing proposal tabulation <br />forms, and in awarding the contract for construction following the City's approval of the <br />construction contract documents and of the latest detailed final cost estimate of the Project. <br />1.5.3 Assist the City in conducting the pre - proposal conference with potential proponents. <br />During the pre - proposal conference, the Engineer will describe the scope of work; answer pertinent <br />questions of potential proponents and City staff, address requests for additional information and <br />make all necessary clarifications and interpretations of the construction contract documents. <br />1.5.4 Assist the City in reviewing all proposals, the Statement of Proponent's Qualifications, <br />financial statements of proponents (included), lists of proponent's proposed subcontractors, and <br />all other documents required to be submitted with the proposals for responsiveness and for <br />proposal amount. The Engineer will also verify through reasonable investigation the financial and <br />performance history documentation submitted by the apparent successful proponent and its <br />references. The City will provide copies of all of the proposal documents to the Engineer within <br />one day from the date of receipt of proposals. Within ten calendar days of receiving the proposal <br />documents from the City, the Engineer will prepare a report of its review and evaluation, and <br />include a written recommendation to the City for award of the contract for construction, or other <br />action as may be appropriate. The City will make the final decision on the award of the <br />construction contract and the acceptance or rejection of proposals.
