<br />Equip all construction equipment in roadway work with a permanently mounted 360°
<br />revolving or strobe warningg light with amber lens. Light will have a minimum lens height and

<br />diaeter of 5 in. and nounN19 height of not less than 6 ft. above the roadway surface and be
<br />visible from all sides. Attach at each side of the rear end of the construction equipment an
<br />approved orange warning flag mounted not less than 6 ft, above the roadway surface.
<br />Overhead and underground utilities exist in the vicinity of the project. The exact location of
<br />underground utilities is not known. Contact the Texas Excavation Safety. Systems (TESS) or
<br />DIG TESS at 1- 800 - 344 -8377 or the area utility companies for exact locations at least 4B
<br />hours before commencing any work that might affect present utilities.
<br />Remove any construction debris and surplus material generated by the construction work
<br />within the project limits. Perform this work as directed. Consider subsidiary to the pertinent Items.
<br />Trim vegetation around signs and other obstructions. Consider subsidiary to pertinent Items.
<br />Supply litter barrels in enough numbers at locations as directed to control litter within the project.
<br />Consider subsidiary to pertinent Items.
<br />Use a self - contained vacuum broom to sweep the roadway and Keep it free of sediment as directed.
<br />Maintain one self- contained vacuum in good condition at the project site at all times unless otherwise
<br />approved by the Engineer.
<br />Protect all areas of the right of way which are not included in the actual limits of the proposed
<br />construction areas from destruction. Exercise core to prevent damage to trees, vegetation, and
<br />other natural surroundings. Areas not to be disturbed will be as directed. Restore any area disturbed
<br />as a result of the Contractor a s operations to a condition as good as, or better before the beginning
<br />of work.
<br />All locations used for storing construction equipment, materials, and stockpiles of any type within the right
<br />of way will be as directed. Use of right of way for these purposes will be restricted to those locations where
<br />driver sight distance to businesses and side street intersections is not obstructed and at other locations where
<br />an unsightly appearance will not exist.
<br />The project superintendent shall be copable of speaking English and will be available on the project at all times
<br />when work is being performed including subcontroctor work. The superintendent will be available and on call
<br />24 hours a day.
<br />No person or tool will be permitted within 8 feet of high voltage electrical lines (600 volts or greater) unless
<br />arrangements have been made with the power company. No equipment will be permitted within 10 feet of
<br />high voltage, electrical lines unless there are warnings posted and on insulated guard is attached to the boom or
<br />bucket. Notify the Engineer if there are any conflicts with high voltage electrical lines.
<br />ITEM 7 - Legal Relations and Responsibilities
<br />Do not leave equipment, after working hours, in a position that will endanger the traveling public.
<br />Maintain positive drainage for permanent as well as temporary drainage during the duration of the project. This
<br />work is the sole responsibility of the Contractor. Construct temporary and permanent systems prior to placement
<br />of temporary or permanent pavement. Any items associated with the temporary /interim drainage and all related
<br />maintenance shall be the Contractor,& s responsibility. No direct payment shall be made for this work. The
<br />Engineer shall have final authority in determining the adequacy of any temporary or permanent drainage features
<br />installed.
