Mayor Morris directed Mr. Gilley to find out if <br /> Mr. Moore will be present at the next meeting and asked if he has <br /> any interest on these item. <br /> Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an <br /> Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, SETTING SPEED LIMITS ON STATE HIGHWAY 80 <br /> IN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS; AMENDING <br /> THE TRAFFIC REGISTER¡ .PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY¡ <br /> REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR <br /> PUBLICATION AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and <br /> Mr. Cox seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. (Mr. Hart <br /> not present to vote on this item). <br /> Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an <br /> Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 901. 5 OF THE STANDARD <br /> BUILDING CODE ADOPTED IN SECTION 5-1 OF THE SAN MARCOS <br /> CODE OF ORDINANCES REGARDING THE TYPES OF CONSTRUCTION IN <br /> WHICH AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER EQUIPMENT MUST BE INSTALLED¡ <br /> PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING <br /> ORDINANCES¡ PROVIDING A PENALTY¡ PROVIDING FOR <br /> PUBLICATION AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and <br /> Mr. Plummer seconded the motion which passed unanimously. (Mr. <br /> Hart not present to vote on this item). <br />f Mr. Guerra asked if there was going to be an additional cost to any <br /> business and if it was going to be significant, nominal or minimal. <br /> Mr. Patterson stated that there would be some additional costs. <br /> Mr. Patterson stated that he had spoken to chief O'Leary and there <br /> would be some reduced cost in infrastructure on the site that <br /> relates to the sprinkler system in the building. Mayor Morris <br /> asked if the city had been operating under this. Mr. Patterson <br /> stated that the new Code was adopted in March 4th and since that <br /> time there has been no permit applications that have been of this <br /> particular size except Tanger Mall Addition and they had to require <br /> sprinkler system. Mayor Morris moved to amend the ordinance to an <br /> emergency. Mr. Mooney seconded the motion which passed <br />
