56 Regular Meeting June 28, 1993 Page 2 Mayor Morris introduced a public hearing and adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ADOPTING A TRANSITION PLAN AS REQUIRED BY THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT, APPOINTING THE DIRECTOR OF PARKS AND RECREATION, RODNEY COBB, AS THE INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBLE FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PLAN AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris .introduced a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING 0.18 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, OF LAND AREA, BEING A PART OF FARM LOT NO. TEN (10) OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, IN HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, ACCORDING TO THE MAP OR PLAT OF THE TOWN, LOCATED AT 220 S. JOHNSON STREET, FROM "MF-4" (MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT [HIGH DENSITY]) TO IIR-1" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT [LOW DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of the FY1993-l994 Council Budget Policy Statement. Mr. Moore moved for approval of the Statement, a copy which is attached, and Mr. Hart seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 25, STREETS, SIDEWALKS, RIGHT-OF-WAY CONSTRUCTION AND OFF-STREET PARKING, OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES WITH REGARD TO PUBLIC HEARING NOTIFICATION PROCEDURES FOR STEET NAME CHANGES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration reconsideration. of a Zoning Ordinance. The Council did not wish to reconsider the Ordinance. The caption of the Ordinance reads as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING LOT 1, BLOCK 5, OF THE SUNSET ACRES ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, UNIT NO. 1 AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 158, PAGE 393 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED AT 520 PATRICIA DRIVE, FROM "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) TO "R-1" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT [LOW DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting held June 14, 1993, approval of two Ordinances on second reading, adoption of two Ordinances on third and final reading, adoption of six Resolutions and approval of Change Order No.3 to the Downtown Water System Improvements CIP Project in the amount of $6,000.00 on consensus.
