M. Veramendi <br />League No. Two, Abstract 17, located on River Road from Agricultural <br />Open-Space District to Mobile Home District. Mr. James opened the <br />public hearing. No one wished to speak for or against the zoning <br />change request, so Mr. James closed the public hearing. The Ordinance <br />was then read in its entirety, the caption which follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT <br />ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LO- <br />CATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, <br />DATED SEPTEMBER ~9, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY CHANGING <br />THE ZONING OF 6.178 ACRES IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI <br />LEAGUE NO. TWO, ABSTRACT 17, LOCATED ON RIVER <br />ROAD, FROM "AO" (AGRICULTURAL OPEN-SPACE DISTRICT) <br />TO "MH" (MOBILE HOME DISTRICT). <br /> <br />Mr. James moved to approve the Zoning Ordinance on first reading and <br />Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. James introduced for consideration a public hearing and a Zoning <br />Ordinance on first reading on 4.15 acres out of the J. M. Veramendi <br />League No. Two, a/k/a 925 Bugg Lane, from Single-Family Dwelling <br />District to Commercial Use. Mr. James opened the public hearing. <br />Mr. Mike Gossett, an attorney representing George C. Haines, owner <br />of the property, spoke in favor of the annexation stating a lot of <br />the area property was already zoned for commercial use. Mr. John <br />Williamson, an adjacent owner to the property, said that he was not <br />opposed to the property zoning change request. TWO <br />A/K/A 925 BUGG LANE, FROM "R-i" (SINGLE-FAMILY <br />DWELLING DISTRICT) TO "C" (COMMERCIAL USE). <br /> <br />Mrs. Norris moved to approve the Zoning Ordinance on first reading <br />and Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. James introduced for consideration a public hearing and a Zoning <br />Ordinance on first reading on 53.93 acres out of the Juan Martin Vera- <br />mendi Survey No. One from Agricultural Open-Space District to Light <br />Industrial District. Mr. James opened the public hearing. No one <br />wished to speak for or against the zoning change request, so Mr. <br />James closed the public hearing.
