-2- <br />II. <br />Employees of City shall record the information found on the Gary <br />Job Corps identification tag when dogs are impounded wearing such <br />tags. A list containing such information shall be provided to the <br />Housing Coordinator at the end of each patrol. It shall be the <br />responsibility of the Housing Coordinator to identify the owner of the <br />impounded dog and to inform said owner so that arrangements may be <br />made by the owner for the dog's release or for other disposition of <br />the animal <br />III. <br />City shall release a dog so impounded to the owner of the dog <br />upon payment by owner of the impoundment fees as specified in Part V <br />of this Agreement. <br />IV. <br />City shall keep any dog impounded under the terms of Part I of <br />this Agreement for a seventy-two (72) hour period during which time <br />the dog may be reclaimed by the owner under the terms of Part III of <br />this Agreement. At the end of said seventy-two (72) hour period City <br />may dispose of the dog by the most expeditious and humane manner <br />available, provided that City may allow the dog to be adopted <br />accordinq to City rules and regulations at the end of said seventy-two <br />(72) hour period. <br />V. <br />Payment to City for keeping an impounded dog shall be five <br />dollars ($5.00) for the first day and four dollars ($4.00) for each <br />additional day after the first day; provided than in in no case shall <br />such impoundment fee be more than thirteen dollars ($13.00) for each <br />dog except in cases of rabies observation pursuant to Part VI (E) of <br />this Agreement. Payment shall be made by the owner at the time the <br />dog is reclaimed.
