Mendez <br />Tess Norris <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />THE CITY OF SAN <br />OCTOBER 29, 1981 <br />City Manager <br />City Secretary <br />City Attorney <br />Director of Public Health <br />A. C. Gonzalez <br />Janis K. Womack <br />Barbara Edwards <br />Jim Burwell <br />Also Present: Joe Froh, Catherine Ford, Joe Garza, Bill Pryatel, Nina <br />Pryatel, Jeff Watkins, Ronnie Dannelley, Jackie Matthys, Rick Kern <br />of Freese and Nichols, Chris Bishop, Gregg Echols, Kelley Kilber, <br />Jim Byrn, Joanne Childress and others. <br />The Mayor Called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes <br />of the Regular Meeting held October 12, 1981. Mrs. Norris moved to <br />approve the minutes and Mr. Kreczmer seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes <br />of the Emergency Meeting held October 14, 1981. Mr. Brown moved to <br />approve the minutes and Mr. James seconded the motion. On roll call <br />the following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Brown, Cavazos, James, Craddock, Kreczmer and Mendez. <br />NAY: None. <br />ABSTAIN: Norris. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the appoint- <br />ment of Mrs. Ora Jean Young to the Civil Service Commission, to replace <br />Charley Williams, whose term expired in October. Mr. James moved to <br />approve the appointment of Mrs. Ora Jean Young and Mrs. Norris second- <br />ed the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an appoint- <br />ment to the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals for the unexpired <br />term of Corlis Dees. Mrs. Norris moved that John Durrett, who is pre- <br />sently serving as an alternate to the Zoning Board of Adjustments and <br />Appeals, and whose term as an alternate expires in 1982, be appointed <br />to fill the vacancy of Corlis Dees (whose term would expire in 1982) <br />and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock then introduced for consideration approval of an appoint- <br />ment of an alternate to fill the unexpired vacancy of John Durrett, whose <br />term would expire in 1982, to the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Ap- <br />peals. Mayor Craddock moved that Gwen Smith be appointed the alternate <br />to the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals and Mr. Kreczmer second- <br />ed the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of bid on three <br />pickup trucks for the Public Works Department submitted by Chuck Nash <br />Chevrolet in the amount of $22,275.00. Mr. Brown moved that the bid <br />of Chuck Nash Chevrolet be accepted and Mrs. Norris seconded the mo- <br />tion, which passed unanimously.
