<br />DUPLANTIS; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
<br />U U A WARRANTY DEED TO JOEL M. DUPLANTIS; AND DE-
<br />CLARING AN EMERGENCY.
<br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, advertised for bids
<br />for the sale of 0.29 acres of land out of Block 2 of the Katy
<br />Addition to the City of San Marcos, in Hays County, Texas, also
<br />known as a part of Urban Renewal Parcel No. 10-1, in the San
<br />Marcos Record, a local newspaper with a general circulation in
<br />the County of Hays, State of Texas, on January 11, 1981 and
<br />January 18, 1981; and,
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement a bid was submitted
<br />by JOEL M. DUPLANTIS for said described property in the amount of
<br />eight thousand nine hundred sixty dollars ($8,960.00); and,
<br />WHEREAS, said bid met the minimum disposition price set for
<br />said property by the Urban Renewal Board of Commissioners of the
<br />City of San Marcos, Texas on December 1, 1975; and,
<br />WHEREAS, said Board accepted the bid as the highest and
<br />best responsible bid for said property on March 16, 1981; and,
<br />WHEREAS, said Board recommends the approval of said purchase
<br />price and the approval of the terms and conditions for said sale,
<br />as contained in the bid document; now, therefore,
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS :
<br />SECTION 1. That the terms and conditions of the sale by
<br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, of 0.29 acres of land out of Block
<br />2 of the Katy Addition to the City of San Marcos, Hays County,
<br />Texas, more particularly described as follows:
<br />BEING A PORTION OF LOT 7 AND 8, BLOCK 2 AND A.POR-
<br />TION OF THAT 30 FOOT PRIVATE WAY, AS SHOWN BY PLAT
<br />OF THE KATY ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, A
<br />SUBDIVISION OF RECORD IN VOLUME 34, PAGE 117, HAYS
<br />COUNTY DEED RECORDS, AS CONVEYED TO THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS BY THE URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
<br />SAN MARCOS BY DEED DATED OCTOBER 29, 1976, AND RE-
<br />CORDED IN VOLUME 290, PAGE 94, HAYS COUNTY DEED
<br />RECORDS, AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY
<br />METES AND BOUNDS AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:
<br />BEGINNING at an iron stake set for the Southeast
<br />corner of the tract herein described, same being
<br />the Northeast corner of that 0.018 acre tract of
<br />land described as Tract 2, conveyed to Johnny L.
<br />Finch and James Donnelley by the City of San Marcos
<br />by deed dated November 14, 1979, and recorded in
<br />Volume 335, Page-25, Hays County Deed Records, and
<br />being on the West line of McGehee Street, the East
<br />line of the said Block 2, and from which an iron
<br />stake found at the Southeast corner of the said Lot
<br />7,',bears S 09° 37' E, 5.00 feet;
<br />THENCE, leaving the said McGehee Street, with the
<br />North line of the said Finch and Donnelley 0.018
<br />acre tract, S 80° 42' W, 160.00 feet to an iron
<br />stake set at the Northwest corner of the said Finch
<br />and Donnelley 0.018 acre tract, for the Southwest
