a <br />corner of the tract herein described, same <br />being on the West line of the said Lot 7, <br />the East line of Lot 3 of the said Block <br />2, Katy Addition; <br />THENCE, leaving the said Finch and Donnelley <br />0.018 acre tract, with the West line of the <br />said Lot 7, the East line of the said Lot <br />3, N 09° 37'W, at about 55 feet leaving the <br />said Lot 7, passing the South line of the said <br />30 foot Private Way and continuing on in all, <br />80.00 feet to an iron stake set for the North <br />west corner of the tract herein described; <br />THENCE, N 800 42'E, at about 30 feet passing <br />the aforementioned South line of the said 30 <br />foot Private Way, a West line of the said Lot <br />8, and continuing on in all, 160.00 feet to <br />an iron stake set on the East line of the said <br />Lot 8, the East line of the said Block 2, same <br />being on the West line of the aforementioned <br />McGehee Street, for the Northeast corner of the <br />tract herein described; <br />THENCE, with the West line of the said McGehee <br />Street, S 09° 37' E, at 10 feet passing the <br />Southeast corner of the said Lot 8, the North- <br />east corner of the aforementioned Lot 7, and <br />continuing on in all, 80.00 feet to the POINT <br />OF BEGINNING containing 0.29 acres of land <br />also known as a part of Urban Renewal Parcel No. 10-1, to Joel <br />M. Duplantis are hereby approved. <br />SECTION 2. That the consideration of eight thousand nine <br />hundred sixty dollars ($8,960.00) for said property be, and <br />the same is hereby, approved. <br />SECTION 3. That the purchaser is hereby placed on notice <br />that the subject property is subject to assessment under the <br />provisions of Article 1105b, Texas Revised Civil Statutes. <br />SECTION 4. That the mayor of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, Emmie Craddock be, and is hereby, authorized to execute <br />a warranty deed to Joel M. Duplantis from the City of San Marcos <br />for said property. <br />r? <br />1 <br />SECTION 5. That the importance of this Ordinance creates <br />an emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the provisions <br />of the charter requiring that ordinances shall be read on three <br />separate meetings and that no ordinance shall beocome effective <br />until the expiration of ten (10) days following the date of its <br />final passage be suspended, and these provisions are hereby <br />suspended, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full <br />force and effect from and after its adoption and publication in <br />a newspaper of general circulation within the City. <br />PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this h day of October , 1981. <br />t-t- 01_,E <br />Emmie Craddock <br />Mayor <br />4anis K.
