a corner of the tract herein described, same being on the West line of the said Lot 7, the East line of Lot 3 of the said Block 2, Katy Addition; THENCE, leaving the said Finch and Donnelley 0.018 acre tract, with the West line of the said Lot 7, the East line of the said Lot 3, N 09° 37'W, at about 55 feet leaving the said Lot 7, passing the South line of the said 30 foot Private Way and continuing on in all, 80.00 feet to an iron stake set for the North west corner of the tract herein described; THENCE, N 800 42'E, at about 30 feet passing the aforementioned South line of the said 30 foot Private Way, a West line of the said Lot 8, and continuing on in all, 160.00 feet to an iron stake set on the East line of the said Lot 8, the East line of the said Block 2, same being on the West line of the aforementioned McGehee Street, for the Northeast corner of the tract herein described; THENCE, with the West line of the said McGehee Street, S 09° 37' E, at 10 feet passing the Southeast corner of the said Lot 8, the North- east corner of the aforementioned Lot 7, and continuing on in all, 80.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING containing 0.29 acres of land also known as a part of Urban Renewal Parcel No. 10-1, to Joel M. Duplantis are hereby approved. SECTION 2. That the consideration of eight thousand nine hundred sixty dollars ($8,960.00) for said property be, and the same is hereby, approved. SECTION 3. That the purchaser is hereby placed on notice that the subject property is subject to assessment under the provisions of Article 1105b, Texas Revised Civil Statutes. SECTION 4. That the mayor of the City of San Marcos, Texas, Emmie Craddock be, and is hereby, authorized to execute a warranty deed to Joel M. Duplantis from the City of San Marcos for said property. r? 1 SECTION 5. That the importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the provisions of the charter requiring that ordinances shall be read on three separate meetings and that no ordinance shall beocome effective until the expiration of ten (10) days following the date of its final passage be suspended, and these provisions are hereby suspended, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication in a newspaper of general circulation within the City.
