83 Regular Meeting November 9, 1981 Page 7 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, CASTING VOTES FOR DIRECTORS OF THE HAYS COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT FOR THE PERIOD BEGIN- NING JANUARY 1, 1982 AND AUTHORIZING THE.MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO SUBMIT SAME TO THE COUNTY CLERK OF HAYS COUNTY. Mrs. Norris moved for the adoption of the ordinance casting all votes (1,070) for John Kreczmer and Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, James, Craddock, Mendez and Norris. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Kreczmer. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- tion approving the terms and conditions of a contract for the construc- tion of a fire station, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND BRATH, INC. OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A FIRE STATION IN SAID CITY; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXE- CUTE SAID CONTRACT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Brown moved for the adoption of the Resolution approving the con- tract and Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. At 10:04 p.m. Mr. Brown moved the Council adjourn to Executive Session pursuant to Article 6252-17, V.A.C.S., §2(f) to discuss land acquisi- tion and Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. At 10:12 p.m. Mr. Kreczmer moved the Council convene and Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- tion approving the terms and conditions of an option agreement for a sanitary landfill site, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE OPTION AGREEMENT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THOMAS R. HOLT AND VERNA OWEN HOLT CONCERNING A 103 ACRE SITE IN CALDWELL COUNTY, TEXAS; APPROVING AND RATIFYING THE EXECUTION OF SAID AGREEMENT BY THE MAYOR; APPROV- ING THE EXPENDITURE OF TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ($10,000.00) FROM THE CONTINGENCY FUND OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mrs. Norris moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- tion approving a payment for assistance in contract negotiations, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING PAYMENT FROM THE CONTINGENCY FUND IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SE- VENTY SEVEN DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS ($1,377.50) TO PRO-TECH ENGINEERING GROUP, INC., FOR CONSULTATION AND ASSISTANCE IN NEGOTIATION AND PREPARATION OF AN AGREEMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF 103 ACRES OF LAND FROM THOMAS R. HOLT FOR POSSIBLE USE AS A SITE FOR THE DISPOSAL OF SOLID WASTES AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
