<br /> 11 <br />Regular Meeting May 24, 1993 Page 5 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A LETTER <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND KLIPPLE BUSINESS PRODUCTS TO <br /> EXTEND THE TERM OF THE ANNUAL OFFICE SUPPLY CONTRACT FOR ONE <br /> YEAR; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT <br /> ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN THE CITY AND CAMP, DRESSER & MCKEE, INC. FOR <br /> PREPARATION OF A MASTER DRAINAGE PLAN FOR THE CITY; <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON <br /> BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris 'introduced for consideration Item 12.C. (2) removed <br />from the consensus agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption <br />which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN THE CITY AND HAYS COUNTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> CONDUCTING A JOINT AUCTION; AUTHORIZING THE CLTY MANAGER TO <br /> EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT OF BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING <br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Plummer moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Hart <br />seconded the motion. Mr. Hart asked Mr. Gilley why the auction <br />was being held at 9:00 a.m. on a Wednesday morning rather than on <br />a weekend. Mr. Moore stated he had attended several auctions and <br />the date and time was set at the convenience of the Commissioners <br />Court and the location and scheduling of a facility. The City - <br />Council directed Mr. Gilley to discuss with the Commissioners <br />Court, on future auctions, to set a ~eekend date which would be <br />more feasible for the citizens. The Council then voted <br />unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. <br />Mayor Morris introduced the City Manager's Report. Mr. Gilley <br />stated Lupe Delgado passed away on Saturday. Mr. Gilley stated <br />Mr. Delgado had been an employee of the City for 33 years. Mr. <br />Gilley stated funeral services would be held Wednesday, May 26, <br />at St. John's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. <br />Mayor Morris introduced the City Attorney's Report. Mr. Taylor <br />had no report at this meeting. <br />Mayor Morris introduced the City Council's Report. (1) Mr. <br />Guerra asked Mr. Taylor the status of the Fraternal Law Article. <br />Mr. Taylor stated he had not completed his report at this time. <br />Mr. Guerra asked Mr. Taylor about the 9-1-1 incident with Sigma <br />Alpha Epsilon's false call. Mr. Taylor stated he was in the <br />process of bringing an Ordinance before the Council regarding <br />actions to be taken when a false call is received. Mayor Morris <br />stated she would like the Council to also review the Ordinance <br />regarding violation of low water crossings. (2) Mayor Morris <br />asked the Council if they wish to renew their membership with the <br />Corridor Council in the amount of $1,500.00. Mr. Moore stated <br />the Corridor Council has taken on more representation from the <br />private sector and the smaller cities. The Council stated they <br />would like to continue their membership for another year and <br />watch the progress of the Council. (3) Mr. Plummer stated he <br />would attend the Economic Development Committee meeting of the <br />Corridor Council Wednesday, May 26, at 3:00 p.m. (4) Mayor <br />Morris stated she attended the FAIR Committee Meeting in Dallas. <br />The discussions centered around the B.T.U. tax and the impact on <br />the communities, and federal mandates without funding. Mayor <br />Morris stated there would be a sub-committee meeting held in San <br />Marcos in August regarding the census count. (5) Mayor Morris <br />asked Mr. Gilley if a 4-way stop sign could be placed at Center <br />
