III. OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF TOURIST <br />INFORMATION CENTER <br />A. Facility Description. The Tourist Information Center (the "Tourist Center ") is <br />owned by the City and is located at 617 IH -35 North in San Marcos, Texas. <br />B. Operation of Center. The Chamber agrees to use CVB Funds for the operation <br />and maintenance of the Tourist Center in accordance with the following: <br />1. The Chamber will endeavor to provide paid and volunteer staffing so that <br />the Tourist Center is open to the public during the following times: <br />Monday - Saturday 9:OOa.m. to S:OOp.m. <br />Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. <br />During these times, the staff will provide assistance to visitors, respond to telephone <br />inquiries, distribute tourism materials and infonnation, maintain records, stock brochure <br />racks and bins, and perforins other services and tasks as directed by the Chamber. <br />2. The Chamber shall provide and maintain suitable equipment and materials for <br />effective operation of the Tourist Center, including desks, counters, chairs, brochure racks <br />and bins, computer, copier and telephone equipment, and office supplies. <br />3. The Chamber shall provide routine maintenance of the Tourist Center, <br />including custodial services and minor repairs. If a need arises for maintenance of a non- <br />routine nature (costing $1,000.00 or more), the Chamber will submit the request to the <br />City, and the City will evaluate and take action to provide the maintenance. The City will <br />provide routine landscape maintenance in the area of the Tourist Center. <br />4. The Chamber shall maintain commercial general liability insurance with <br />respect to its operations and activities at the Tourist Center, and the Chamber shall provide <br />casualty insurance covering the contents of the Tourist Center.
