3) Waterline Features — Visible above ground appurtenances of waterline features
(valves, meters, manholes, hydrants, sprinklers) within the design limits will be
extracted from the mobile LiDAR point cloud, and will be located by on the ground
field crews, if accessible. Top of valve nut elevation will be acquired by field survey
crews, if accessible.
4) Wastewater Features — Visible above ground appurtenances of wastewater features
(manholes, cleanouts) within the survey limits will be located. Manhole inverts, pipe
size, type and flow direction (if accessible) will be acquired utilizing conventional
surveying field crews. The Consultant will only uncover manholes that can be
accessed without the use of traffic control or lane closures. Survey location or
schematics of subsurface drainage culverts or structures is outside of this scope of
services.
5) Storm Sewer Features - Visible above ground storm sewer features within the project
limits will be located. Manhole inverts, pipe size, type and flow direction (if
accessible) will be acquired utilizing conventional surveying field crews. The
Consultant will only uncover manholes that can be accessed without the use of traffic
control or lane closures. Survey location or schematics of subsurface storm sewer
pipe locations is outside of this scope of services.
6) Building Structures — The face of buildings (footprints only) will be located within
the survey limits along with the location of column supported overhangs. Building
entrances facing the street will be located, including any steps and finished floor
elevations at the doorways. Extracting building detail, such as windows, doors and
other visible features is outside of this scope of work.
7) Miscellaneous Features — Visible above ground miscellaneous features (signs, utility
poles, guy anchors, overhead power lines, traffic control facilities and utility
appurtenances) within the survey limits will be located. Location of traffic control
loops, paint markings of utilities or subsurface utility location is outside of this scope
of services.
G. 360 - de2ree Geo- referenced Video Documentation (SAM -CAM & SAM -PRO).
Simultaneously with the Mobile LiDAR acquisition, the Consultant will collect geo- referenced
4K video of the existing roadway conditions at the time of survey. The video collection system
(SAM -CAM) will collect 4K video with a seven (7) video camera array, mounted in a circular
pattern on the mobile LiDAR vehicle. This video will be coupled with the mobile LiDAR final
trajectory. This georeferences the video to the vehicle's drive path. These geo- referenced
"tracks" will be plotted on a map (SAM -PRO). From these tracks, the 360 - degree video, or
associated still imagery, can be launched in order to perform a visual inspection of the site at that
point in time.
H. Deliverables
Because the City doesn't have a set of CADD standards for the purpose of generating the CADD
deliverables for this Project, the Consultant will utilize its own CADD Standards, which are
based out of the National CADD standards. All extracted elements will be drawn in the
appropriate layer. All CADD deliverables will be provided in Autodesk Civil 3D 2014 format,
CITY HALL a 630 EAST HOPKINS a SAN MARCOS, TEXAS 78666 a 512.393.8150 a FACSIMILE 855.759.2846
SANMARCOSTX.GOV
6
