<br />87 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting Feburary 8, 1993 Page 5 <br /> <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, SETTING SPEED LIMITS ON RM 12 IN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS; AMENDING THE TRAFFIC REGISTER; PROVIDING <br />FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; <br />PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris moved to remove the preceding Ordinance from the table <br />and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Ms. <br />Kissler then moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading <br />and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, SETTING SPEED LIMITS ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35 FRONTAGE <br />ROADS IN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS; AMENDING <br />THE TRAFFIC REGISTER; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL <br />CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND PROVIDING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and <br />Mr. Hart seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, SETTING SPEED LIMITS ON STATE HIGHWAY 21 IN THE CITY <br />LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS; AMENDING THE TRAFFIC <br />REGISTER; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING <br />ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />, <br /> <br />Mr. Plummer moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and <br />Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held January 25, 1993, approval of an Ordinance on <br />second reading, adoption of an Ordinance on third and final reading, <br />adoption of twelve Resolutions (includes an Addendum), approval of <br />Change Order No.1 for the Library Construction Contract in the <br />amount of $87,225.00 for casing and depth of piers ($91,325.00) and <br />removal of landscape design fee from the landscape allowance <br />(-$4,100.00), and approval of calculation of payment in lieu of <br />taxes for FY ending September 30, 1992 and statement of <br />contributions made by the San Marcos Housing Authority to offset the <br />payment in lieu of taxes on consensus. The Council removed Item <br />9.B. to be considered separately. Ms. Kissler moved for approval of <br />the minutes of the Regular Meeting held Janaury 25, 1993 (Messrs. <br />Guerra and Plummer abstaining), adoption of the Ordinance on third <br />and final reading, adoption of the twelve Resolutions (Mayor Morris <br />abstaining on Item 9.D.(4) because of a conflict of interest), <br />approval of Change Order No.1 for the Library Construction Contract <br />in the amount of $87,225.00, and approval of calculation of payment <br />- in lieu of taxes for FY ending September 30, 1992 and statement of <br />contributions made by the San Marcos Housing Authority to offset the <br />payment in lieu of taxes on consensus and Mr. Guerra seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously.
