Call To Order <br />With a quorum resent, the workshop meeting oft the San Marcos City Council <br />was called to order by Mayor Guerrero at 12:03p. m. Friday, October 16, 2015 <br />in the City Council Chambers, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 7 666. <br />Present: 6 - Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Council Member John Thomaides, Council Member Ryan <br />Thomason, Mayor Pro -Tem Jude Prather, Council Member Lisa Prewitt and <br />Council Member Jane Hughson <br />Absent: 1 - Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Shane Scott <br />Consider Staff briefing and Council Member discussion and questions regarding items <br />on the agenda for October 20, 2015 Regular City Council Meeting, to wit Items (1 -21). <br />1' . Presentation from Capital Area Food Bank Advocacy and Public Policy Director, <br />Kathy Green regarding services they provide to San Marcos and Hays County and <br />food insecurity statistics for the area. <br />2. Presentation regarding city -wide Memorial Day flood analysis, Cape's Camp area <br />park development and development mitigation update. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />3. September 30, 2015 Workshop Minutes, October 2, 2015 Packet Meeting Minutes, <br />and October 5, 2015 Regular Meeting Minutes. <br />4. Ordinance 2015 -43, on the second of two readings, deleting Section 62.190 of the <br />San Marcos City Code which provides for assignment pay for Fire Department <br />personnel performing specialized services due to inclusion of assignment pay terms in <br />the City's Meet and Confer agreement; providing for the repeal of any conflicting <br />provisions; and providing an effective date. <br />5. Ordinance 2015 -44, on the second of two readings, amending sections 2.131 <br />through 2.132 of the San Marcos City Code to change the Senior Citizens Advisory <br />Board to a City Council appointed board and to modify the qualifications for <br />membership on the board; providing for the repeal of any conflicting provisions;. and <br />City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />
