The subject site exists within an area that has historically recorded occurrences of the federally listed endangered <br />golden- cheeked warbler (GCW) and black capped vireo (BCV). A federally permitted biologist would perform a <br />literature review of all known occurrences in the immediate area as well as determine if any potentially suitable <br />habitat for any of the federally - listed T &E species, which occur in Hays County, exist on the subject site. <br />Consultation with the US Fish and Wildlife Service would be required in the event that any potentially suitable <br />habitat were to be impacted. <br />Cultural Resources Investigations <br />Provide initial archeological and cultural resource investigations. These services include conducting an archival <br />research concentrating initially on historic maps and documents located at Texas Archeological Research Laboratory <br />(TARL), as well as previous studies which may have been conducted; to identify any previously identified historic <br />archeological sites on the property. If there are defined waterways present on the subject site, there is a moderate <br />probability the subject site may contain intact archeological sites. Therefore, if any additional surveys are required <br />for development of the subject site by the City of San Marcos and /or Texas Historical Commission under Section <br />106, 36 CFR' 800 and the implementing regulations for compliance with the National Historic Preservation Act, a <br />cost estimate for those services will be provided at that time. Archeological surveys include site investigations and <br />preparation of a report to be provided to Texas Historical Commission for comment and review. <br />II. FIELD SURVEYING AND RIGHT -OF -WAY DATA(provided by Unintech) <br />Note, Survey limits will extend 400 feet past the intersection of Uhland and Mill in each direction. <br />A. Task 1 — Control <br />1. Primary - Recover any existing Project Control in the area <br />2. Secondary -Set additional secondary control points as needed to provide a field DTM of this project. <br />B. Task 2 - DTM Data Collection <br />1. The DTM shall include a minimum of breaklines, edge of pavement or edge of gravel, top and bottom of <br />bank, spot elevation and high and low points from ROW to ROW. <br />2. Tie visible ROW monumentation. <br />3. Locate trees, within ROW, which have a trunk diameter of 6" or greater at chest height and provide species. <br />4. When locating road signs, provide a description of sign type and any labeling on the sign. <br />5. Locate all driveways when collecting DTM and provide PD of type (i.e. gravel, concrete, etc). <br />6. Topo shots shall not exceed 750 feet from the instrument and distance between ground shots shall not exceed <br />100 feet. Cross Sections will be 100' maximum. <br />7. Tie in all drainage structures, defining break lines around each end of the culvert or bridge. Locate the outfall <br />located behind the nearby apartments. <br />8. Provide a field drawing of each headwall to all culverts, including pipe culverts. NOTE: Digital photographs <br />may be used in addition to sketches. <br />9. Contact utility companies (using the Texas One Call System, 1- 800 - DIG -TESS) with any ownership of <br />utilities and field collect all visible utilities, as marked, within the project limits and provide ownership <br />information as a PD tag, if applicable. Utilities alignments, as determined from on the ground marks or <br />overhead lines, shall be included in CAD files. <br />C. Task 3 - Existing ROW Recovery <br />1. Tie visible ROW monuments and centerline control. <br />2. Re- construct ROW and centerline - reflect centerline and ROW points in the DTM. <br />3. Enter existing centerline and right -of -way geometry into COGO and verify. <br />4. Compare located corners, fences, and centerline found to the existing R.O.W. map. <br />5. Make every effort to honor the existing R.O.W. maps, dedications etc. <br />D. Task 4 — QA/QC, Project Deliverables, and Final Report <br />1.
