A. GENERAL PLANSHEETS
1. A project title sheet shall be prepared as required for the construction plans.
2. A detailed index of sheets shall be prepared that shows each sheets location in the plan set, as well as its
corresponding sheet number. This index shall be updated throughout the submittal process to allow for easier
reference during the review process.
Project layout sheets shall be prepared at a scale of 1 " =200' that clearly indicates the limits of the entire project.
B. ROADWAY PLANS & GEOMETRY
I. Typical sections shall be prepared depicting the existing and proposed Mill Street and Uhland cross- sectional
elements. Typical sections will be created for turn lane sections for each leg of the intersection, transitional
sections within the project limits, and the normal typical section. Sections shall show lane width, widening
limits and saw cut lines. Pavement section shall be shown on these sections.
2. Roadway plan and profile sheets shall be prepared depicting the proposed construction of Mill Street at a scale
of 1" =40' H and 1 " =10' V. Vertical geometry shall be shown in the profile by showing the existing ground
profile, and designing a new profile that closely matches the existing ground. Individual driveways shall not be
detailed separately, instead they shall be shown in the paving plans and TxDOT standards shall be used for
details. Note: Cross - streets will only be designed 100 feet with side of Mill Street.
3. A horizontal alignment data sheet shall be prepared depicting the horizontal geometric information for Mill
Street and Uhland. Sidewalk alignments will be included,
C. SIDEWALK PLANS (COMPLETE STREET)
I. Design sidewalk plan & profile sheets (two profiles on one sheet). Horizontal alignments will be included in
the horizontal alignment data sheets. Ramps, crossings, and striping will be shown on each sheet. A Registered
Accessibility Specialist (RAS) will review the plans prior to submitting for construction, and construction
inspection by the RAS will be required.
2. Provide Sidewalk miscellaneous details.
D. GRADING AND DETAILS
1. Design cross sections shall be produced at 50 -foot stations and other locations as necessary for the determination
of cut and fill quantities only. Pavement thicknesses, limits and side slopes shall be shown with no elevation,
offsets, etc. depicted. Proposed cross - section sheets will be developed depicting the roadway cross- sectional
elements at a maximum of 100' intervals, and will include offsets/elevations at relevant cross - sectional offsets,
for construction informational purposes only.
2. Intersection layout & grading sheet at Uhland Road will be prepared providing spot elevations and contours.
3. Cut and fill quantities determined from the design cross sections shall be shown on the plan/profile sheets.
E. ROADWAY QUANTITIES & STANDARDS
1. Calculate roadway quantities, including earthwork, roadway, sidewalk, etc.
2. Prepare roadway standards
VI. DRAINAGE
A. DRAINAGE AND EROSION CONTROL DESIGN
Drainage plan sheets shall be prepared depicting locations of culverts, utilities, channel improvements, and ditch
locations and flow lines as required. These sheets shall be prepared at a scale of 1 " =40'.
(a) Prepare off -site drainage area map
(b) Prepare Internal drainage area map
(c) Calculate storm sewer hydrology and hydraulics
(d) Storm Sewer sheets will be prepared for the length of the project including approaches of Mill/Uhland. 1
outfall is anticipated for this project at the north east end, tying into the existing culvert pipe draining
northwest.
Unintech Consulting Engineers, Inc.
11/4/2015
4of8
