<br />Page 2 <br />Sunset Advisory Commission <br />Individual Report <br />ETHICS COMMISSION <br />Sunset Observation: No problems. Hard working group of people <br />and doing the best they can under the limited scope they have to <br />work in. The members of the commission seemed to be extremely <br />conscientious. <br />Sunset recommendations: None. <br />FAIR HOUSING <br />Sunset Observations: This commission has not been active during <br />the last 3 years~ we understand that ordinance revisions are being <br />drafted in the legal department to place this commission's <br />responsibilities under the Minorities Commission. <br />Sunset recommendations: This commission's responsibilities should <br />be placed under the Minorities Commission. <br />HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />Sunset recommendations: None <br />HUMAN SERVICES ADVISORY BOARD <br />Sunset Observation: All members spent a tremendous number of <br />hours in public hearings and other activities so they could make <br />the best possible funding recommendations to the City Council. <br />Problems reported by the Board: All members of the Board were <br />extremely frustrated because it appeared that the City Council <br />totally ignores their recommendations after earnest effort in <br />their part. <br />Sunset recommendations: The City Council should provide ~itten <br />feedback to this and all other similar entities as to the <br />rationale for their decisions, especially when these decisions are <br />counter to recommendations. <br />JOINT AIRPORT ZONING BOARD <br />This board has not met in over five years. <br />
