<br />Page 6 <br />Sunset Advisory Commission <br />Individual Report <br />ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />Observation: <br />Sunset recommendation: As the board has quasi-judicial <br />responsibilities, serious thought should be given by the City <br />Council for stringent requirements for membership on the board. <br />The Council should make attendance by the alternates of the Zoning <br />Board of Adjustments and Appeals mandatory for all their meetings. <br />ZONING COMMISSION <br />Observation: The two commissions function very well together. A <br />citizen who had a request that needed to be approved by both <br />bodies came one time. Planning handled it~ Zoning dealt with it. <br />Sunset recommendation: Sunset Commission voted to keep the Zoning <br />Commission as a separate commission with the stipulation that the <br />Zoning Commission do only zoning. If they choose not to have <br />pure planning by the Planning Commission and pure zoning by the <br />Zoning Commission they should consider combining the two <br />commissions into one. <br />. <br />
