Zoning Board of Adjustment <br /> Name of Board or Commission <br />., Estimate the number of hours your staff spends preparing for and staffing <br /> this board or commission. <br /> The Zoning Board of Adjustment meets once a month. The amount of staff time depends on the case load <br /> of applications filed with the City. Average staff time per month is estimated as follows: <br /> Imake of applicatio11S for variances and coordil!£Jtion with applicantS: 10 hours <br /> Research of propenies within 200' radius and mailing of /llJri¡icatio11S (required by I.....,): 10 hours <br /> Preparation of staff reportS. maps and background information: 26 hours <br /> Packet producrion including the preparation of minwes of previorlS meeting: 8 hours <br /> Staff attendance at meetings J IlOllTS <br /> Fallow-up after meetings ro o¡jiCÎally fIOtify applicants of approvals or denials: 2 hours <br />3. What types of issues are most commonly dealt with by this board or <br /> commission? <br /> The Zoning Board of Adjustment is a quasi-judicial board that hears requests for variances and special <br /> exceptions from the City's zoning regulations. The board must act as a hearings board and base its <br /> decision upon findings of fact as required by State law and local ordinance. <br />5.
