MCNAUGHTON ADDITION, TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS <br />COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 5, PAGE 315 OF THE HAYS <br />COUNTY PLAT RECORDS, LOCATED AT 1008-1014 ACADEMY STREET AND <br />308-310 SESSOMS DRIVE FROM "R-1" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING <br />DISTRICT [LOW DENSITY]) TO "LB" (LIMITED BUSINESS DISTRICT) AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, NOMINATING CANDIDATE(S) AND SEEKING THE RECOMMENDATION <br />BY THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE FOR APPOINTMENT TO NATIONAL <br />LEAGUE OF CITIES COMMITTEES, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion. Mr. Guerra moved to amend the Resolution in <br />Part 1 to add the names and committees as follows: "Betty Jane <br />Kissler, Human Development Steering Committee (reappointment), Rick <br />Hernandez, Energy, Environmental and Natural Resources Steering <br />Committee (reappointment), Kathy M. Morris, Finance, Administration, <br />Intergovernment Relations Steering Committee (reappointment), and <br />Billy G. Moore, Community and Economic Development Policy Committee <br />(appointment), and Mr. Hart seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the <br />Resolution. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, DESIGNATING CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS AS THE VOTING DELEGATE <br />AND ALTERNATE VOTING DELEGATE FOR THE CITY AT THE ANNUAL <br />BUSINESS MEETING OF THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES TO BE HELD IN <br />DECEMBER, 1992; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ANY AND ALL <br />DOCUMENTS AND INSTRUMENTS INCIDENT TO THE PURPOSES HEREOF, AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion. Mayor Morris moved to amend the Resolution in <br />Part 1 to add Rick Hernandez as the Voting Delegate and Part 2 to <br />add Billy G. Moore as the Alternate Voting Delegate, and Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council then <br />voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held August 10, 1992, approval of two Ordinances on <br />second reading, adoption of two Ordinances on third and final <br />reading and adoption of seven Resolutions on consensus.
