ATTACHMENT A <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />SESSOM DRIVE SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />new street lights. KIMLEY -HORN will identify aesthetic lighting used in surrounding cities <br />and provide recommendations for lighting along the shared use path. <br />8. Other <br />a. Right of Entry: KIMLEY -HORN will prepare and coordinate the execution of right -of- <br />entry (ROE) forms to be used for topographic and tree surveying, geotechnical bores and <br />site visits along the project corridor. KIMLEY -HORN will make two (2) written attempts to <br />obtain ROE. If after the second written attempt ROE is not obtained, the City of San <br />Marcos will be relied upon to obtain ROE. <br />b. Determine Easement/Land Acquisition Requirements: Based on the selected sanitary <br />sewer alignment, KIMLEY -HORN will coordinate with the City to determine required <br />permanent and temporary easements for the project. <br />c. Determine Project Permitting /Design Requirements: KIMLEY -HORN will determine <br />project permitting and design requirements for local, state and federal entities. <br />d. Utility Providers: KIMLEY -HORN will coordinate with the City to determine utility service <br />providers in the vicinity of the project. <br />9. Deliverables: <br />a. 30% Plans. KIMLEY -HORN will prepare preliminary plans to include plan and profile <br />sheets for the sanitary sewer mains at 1 " =40' horizontal on 11" x 17" plans. KIMLEY- <br />HORN will provide two (2) hard copies of 11" x 17" plan sets and one (1) pdf electronic <br />copy. <br />b. Shared Use Path Plan. Develop a shared use path concept plan for the south side of <br />Sessom Drive from LBJ Drive to Comanche. <br />c. Engineer's Opinion of Probable Construction Cost (OPCC). Develop preliminary <br />Opinions of Probable Construction Cost (OPCC) based on the information gathered <br />above. A separate OPCC will be developed for the shared use path and roadway <br />realignment. <br />d. Engineering Report. KIMLEY -HORN will prepare an Engineering Report that will <br />summarize the findings associated with Items 3a — 6d. The memorandum will include up <br />to four (4) exhibits. <br />e. 30% Comment Response Letter. <br />Supplemental Scope of Services <br />1. Subsurface Utility Exploration (SUE): KIMLEY -HORN will provide up to four (4) SUE locations. <br />Two (2) SUE locations will have depths ranging from 0 -5 feet and two from 5 -10 feet. <br />Schedule <br />The following project milestones are estimated and may require modification pending preliminary <br />engineering results and construction timeframe constraints: <br />• 30% Deliverables ( 30% Plans, Shared Use Path Plan, OPCC, and Report) (90 days) <br />The estimated timeframes identified do not include time for City review of submittals. <br />0 <br />
