ATTACHMENT A <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />SESSOM DRIVE SANITARY SEWER REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />c. Television Inspection: KIMLEY -HORN will provide television inspection for up to <br />approximately 3,000 linear feet of existing 8- and 12 -inch sanitary sewer to locate <br />services and determine the quality of the existing pipe. <br />5. Preliminary Environmental Assessment: KIMLEY -HORN has retained CoxIMcLain Environmental <br />Consulting to perform a preliminary environmental assessment, including the following services: <br />a. Archeological: Conduct limited cultural resource investigations for the project area. <br />Archival research will be performed in the electronic and mapping files of the Texas <br />Historical Commission (THC) Atlas Sites database, the Texas Archeological Research <br />Laboratory (TARL), and /or any other relevant archives for information on previously <br />recorded sites and historic properties in the vicinity of the project's Area of Potential <br />Effect (APE). <br />Water Resources: Collect data on surface water streams and other existing water <br />resources. The 100 -year flood plain, as delineated by FEMA, will be identified and the <br />impacts of the proposed project will be assessed. Potential for impact to groundwater will <br />be evaluated. Perform evaluations of wetlands and waters of the U.S. in all areas <br />potentially affected by the proposed project, as appropriate. This task will include a <br />determination of the type of permit (if any) that will be needed from the U.S. Army Corps <br />of Engineers (USACE). <br />c. Endangered Species Habitat Assessment, USFWS coordination: County and Federal <br />Threatened and Endangered Species list will be reviewed for the proposed project. <br />TPWD occurrence records will be searched in order to identify any known caves or karst <br />invertebrate species within the corridor. <br />d. Hazardous Materials: A search of TCEQ databases will be conducted. A Phase I <br />Environmental Site Assessment is not included in this Scope of Services, but can be <br />added under an additional scope and budget. CMEC staff will utilize ArcView 9.2 to <br />prepare graphics to illustrate existing environmental conditions and potential <br />consequences of this project. <br />e. Prepare and submit an Environmental Technical Memorandum documenting the results <br />of literature research and identifying potential permitting requirements. <br />6. Pipelines <br />a. Determine Alignments: Using the survey and other background information, KIMLEY- <br />HORN will evaluate and provide recommendations for the routes of the proposed sanitary <br />sewer line. KIMLEY -HORN will evaluate workspace and analyze various construction <br />methods for improvements, including open trench and conventional boring, to determine <br />the most suitable solution for the project. <br />7. Shared Use Path <br />a. Determine Alignments: Using the survey and other background information, KIMLEY- <br />HORN will evaluate and provide recommendations for the shared use path alignment. <br />KIMLEY -HORN will evaluate alignment constraints and provide Sessom Drive <br />realignment recommendations if necessary. <br />b. Photometric Analysis: Using the existing franchise electrical information, KIMLEY -HORN <br />will prepare photometric calculations to determine recommendations for the number of <br />2 <br />
