Call To Order <br /> With a quorum present,the regular meeting of the San Marcos City Council <br /> was called to order by Mayor Guerrero at 5:01 p.m. Tuesday,January 19, 2016 <br /> in the City Council Chambers, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br /> II. Roll Call <br /> Council Member Prather arrived after roll call at 5:05 p.m. <br /> Present: 7- Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Mayor Pro-Tem John Thomaides, Council Member Jude <br /> Prather, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Lisa Prewitt, Council Member Jane Hughson, <br /> Council Member Melissa Derrick and Council Member Scott Gregson <br /> 'II. Invocation <br /> Jeff Kester, of Baha'i Spiritual Assembly,provided the invocation. <br /> IV. Pledges Of Allegiance - United States And Texas <br /> City Manager Jared Miller led the assembly in the Pledges of Allegiance. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> 1. 5:00PM <br /> Executive Session in accordance with Section §551.072 of the Texas Government <br /> Code: Real Property - to receive an update regarding negotiations for the sale of City <br /> real estate comprised of three tracts of land known as the "Leah Tract," comprised of <br /> a 1.378 acre tract out of the J.M. Veramendi Survey No. 1, Abstract No. 17, a 25.05 <br /> acre tract, being Lot 1 of the Cottonwood Parkway Addition and a 1.36 acre tract, <br /> being Lot 10A of the Municipal Airport Subdivision; and the acquisition of real property <br /> along the San Marcos River Corridor for park purposes. <br /> A motion was made by Mayor Guerrero, seconded by Deputy Mayor Pro Tern <br /> Prewitt, that the Council adjourn into Executive Session at 5:05pm.
