Kelley Franks, Phil Neighbors, Tom Wassenich, Dianne Wassenich, Jane <br />Hughson, Melissa Millecam, Tom Goynes, Betty Banks and others. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced the ten-minute Citizen comment period with <br />the city Council. Shirley Boemerman expressed concern for the <br />location of the Activity Center to the Library, and stated ample <br />parking and expansion needs for the Library need to be considered in <br />the placement of the Activity Center. Margie Villalpando stated the <br />Hays County Chapter of the Red Cross needs a part-time paid <br />coordinator position. Nina pryatel stated she is serving as the <br />interim volunteer manager of the Red Cross, and stated the vital <br />role Red Cross plays in our community. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF <br />THE CITY, FROM PUBLIC TO LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL FOR A 0.275 <br />ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 401 JACKMAN STREET, AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />I Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />,- speak. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. <br />Cox moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Hernandez seconded <br />the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded (Mr. Moore <br />present at this time - 7:56 p.m.): <br /> <br />AYE: Moore, Mooney, Morris, Cox, Hernandez. <br /> <br />NAY: None. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: Hart (abstain because of working relationship with owner <br />Russell Smith). <br /> <br />* Mr. Moore present at 7:56 p.m.; Mr. Guerra present at 8:47 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1- -- <br />l <br />
