Ed Mihalkanin <br />of SWT has a grant project funded by the Texas Committee for the <br />Humanities this fall and spring to see how SWT can help the <br />community. Ernest Cummings of Green Valley Farms stated Lee Head of <br />Allan Plummer and Associates came on his property and was locked in. <br />He advised Mr. Cummings he was an employee of the City and was there <br />to look at the dam and waterway. He wants to know who gave this man <br />permission to trespass on his property. Kathryn Rich resides <br />outside the City limits between the San Marcos and Blanco Rivers. <br />Her fmaily has used a spring on their property for their water <br />supply since 1900. It has been polluted for 15 years and has to be <br />chlorinated. She said the River Road Project does not extend the <br />waterline to service her. She has been advised she would need to <br />pay for the line of 1287 feet at $26 a foot to have City water <br />service. There are four houses on her property that want water and <br />it would require an 8 inch waterline to qualify her for fire <br />insurance. Mr. Gilley was directed to look at this matter and <br />advise the Council of her situation. Rev. Paul Bunton, the pastor <br />of Abundant Life Christian Church, stated they are presently renting <br />the Old Christian Church for their services. They turned their bid <br />in late and expressed they are still interested in the church. Earl <br />Moseley, an elder of Abundant Life Christian Church, stated they are <br />interested in the City rebidding the property and are willing to <br />work towards sharing with the elderly to help them. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of one <br />appointment to the Main Street Advisory Board to complete a vacancy. <br />Mayor Morris moved to appoint Johnny Finch to an at-large position, <br />which passed unanimously.
