<br />22 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />July 24, 1995 <br /> <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Mr.Guerra moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion. Mr. Moore moved to adopt amendments 1 through 7 as referenced <br />in the fax memo provided by Mr. Rick Fisher, Bond Counsel, and Mr. Hernandez seconded <br />the motion. The Council then voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on <br />Emergency. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Mooney introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on <br />emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN, ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, WATERWORKS AND SEWER SYSTEM <br />REVENUE REFUNDING AND IMPROVEMENT BONDS, SERIES 1995, IN <br />THE AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $8.350.000; PRESCRIBING <br />THE FORM OF SAID BONDS; PROVIDING FOR THE SECURITY FOR <br />AND PAYMENT OF SAID BONDS; AWARDING THE SALE THEREOF; <br />~ <br />APPROVING THE OFFICIAL STATEMENT; ENACTING OTHER <br />PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. Moore seconded <br />the motion. Mr. Guerra seconded the motion. <br />The Council then voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on Emergency. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Mooney introduced for con'sideration adoption of an Ordinance on <br />first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS ABANDONING AND VACATING AN ALLEY LOCATED <br />ADJACENT TO LOTS 2, 3, 9 AND 10 OF BLOCK 3 OF THE CEDAR <br />PLATEAU ADDITION; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE <br />QUITCLAIM DEEDS TO THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Mooney introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held July 10, 1995, one Ordinance on second reading and adoption of <br />twelve Resolutions on consensus. The Council removed Items 10.C (4) and 10.C(5), <br />adoption of Resolutions, to be considered separately. Mr. Moore moved for approval of <br />the minutes of the Regular Meeting held July 10, 1995, one Ordinance on second reading <br />and the remaining ten Resolutions, (Mr. Moore abstained on lOA, approval of the minutes.) <br />on consensus. Mr. Guerra seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Approval of Ordinance on second reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS CHANGING THE NAME OF BROWNE STREET TO <br />ENDICOTT STREET BETWEEN BURLESON STREET AND VIOLA <br />STREET; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />
