<br />82 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting June 26, 1995 Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br /> <br />The Ordinance received four votes of approval and passed on first <br />reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1994-1995 <br />FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR ADA BUILDING RENOVATIONS FOR <br />THE ELECTRIC UTILITY DEPARTMENT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Ordinance and Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion. This amount addresses complete compliance for <br />the city buildings, and all costs are included for the project. The <br />Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Ordinance on <br />emergency. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR'THE 1994-1995 <br />FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR HISTORIC RESOURCES SURVEY <br />FOR THE DUNBAR AND EAST GUADALUPE STREET NEIGHBORHOODS; AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mr. Mooney moved to remove the Ordinance from the table and for <br />adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. Moore seconded the <br />motion. Mr. Hernandez stated there is a volunteer group working on <br />this project and requested Soila Rodriguez clarify their project. <br />I Mrs. Rodriguez stated they are a branch of Hays County Historical <br />commission named the Hays County Hispanic Historical Commission. <br />Ten members with Soila Rodriguez cha~ring, have worked two years <br />preparing histories, translating, editing and are going to <br />publication this Friday. She stated they have had good assistance <br />from the State Historical commission and thinks more work can be <br />done as others hear about this project. They are willing to work <br />with others to bring this project to fruition. The Council voted <br />unanimously for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration reconsideration'of a <br />zoning Ordinance. The Council did not wish to reconsider the <br />Ordinance. The caption reads as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A 1.88 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 222 WONDER WORLD DRIVE <br />FROM "PD" (PRE-DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT) TO "LI" (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL <br />DISTRICT) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held June 12, 1995, approval of an Ordinance on <br />second reading, adoption of an Ordinance on third and final reading <br />and adoption of twelve Resolutions on consensus. The Council <br />I removed Item 7.D. (8) to be considered separately, adoption of a <br />Resolution. Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held June 12, 1995, approval of the Ordinance on <br />second reading, adoption of the Ordinance on third and final reading <br />and adoption of the remaining eleven Resolutions on consensus and <br />Mr. Cox seconded the mo~ion, which passed unanimously. The captions <br />of the Ordinances and ren:aining Resolutions read as follows: <br /> <br />Approval of Ordinance on second reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING QUALIFICATIONS FOR <br />MEMBERS OF THE CITY PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO ALLOW AN <br />ADDI~IONAL MEMBER TO OWN REAL PROPERTY OR RESIDE IN THE CITY'S <br />EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISD¡CTION; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS <br />AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />
