<br />25 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting May 22, 1995 Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF <br />THE CITY, FROM COMMERCIAL TO HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL FOR A <br />0.24 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 312 LINDA DRIVE, AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak. Cindy Pavia, owner of the property, stated this is presently <br />a storage area they are converting into living quarters. No one <br />else wished to speak, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. <br />Mr. Hernandez moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of ~.Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A 0.24 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 312 LINDA DRIVE, FROM <br />"M" (SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT) <br />TO "MF-4" (MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT [HIGH DENSITY]) AND DEèLARING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. . <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. <br />Hernandez moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion. Mr. Moore stated this tract is surrounded by <br />mixed use, and does the city anticipate a larger transition of <br />multi-family, and Mr. Patterson stated yes. The Council voted <br />unanimously for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />AN 18.137 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 1400 BLOCK OF <br />RIVER ROAD, FROM "MF-4" (MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT [HIGH DENSITY]) <br />AND "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) TO "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT); AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. . <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak. Keith Shower stated this property was previously zoned "C", <br />and it was changing back to "C". No one else wished to speak, so <br />Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Guerra moved for <br />adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1994-1995 <br />FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE BROADWAY STREET <br />RECONSTRUCTION INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE! <br />DATE. i <br />¡ <br />Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. <br />Guerra seconded the motion. The School District is hopeful of <br />completing the project before school starts. On roll call the <br />following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Moore, Hart, Morris, Guerra, cox, Hernandez. <br /> <br />NAY: Mooney. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />
