The plan would guide <br />future cleansing of the river for desiltation permitting. The <br />Council requested Staff advise what input U. S. Fish and wildlife <br />will provide and bring the information to the Council. (2) Mr. <br />Gilley stated in response to the request by the Junior service <br />League for an in-kind contribution, the request is to contribute the -- <br />construction permits totalling $1,100.00. It was the Council's <br />direction to allow this. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced the city Attorñey's Report. Mr. Taylor had <br />no report at this meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced the City Council's Report. (1) Mr. <br />Hernandez inquired about the IH35jWonder World construction and <br />four-way stop sign and no signalization and the fact there has been <br />no update. Mr. Patterson advised a month ago they requested a <br />quarterly update be provided to address those concerns. (2) Mr. <br />Hernandez stated victory Gardens neighborhood is concerned about the <br />traffic and have suggested a traffic light at Guadalupe and <br />Roosevelt. Mr. Gilley stated he would check on this matter. (3) <br />Mr. Cox asked about the availability of City property for the <br />Habitant for Humanities and was advised it would be forthcoming <br />soon. (4) The Council asked for an update on the citizens Advisory <br />Committee, and Mr. Patterson advised they will be wrapping up in the <br />next few weeks. The Council expressed an interest in their wrapping <br />up as soon as possible. (5) Mr. Gilley advised the city's <br />participation in the Great American Race involving Main Street, <br />Parks Department and Public Works Department totals $5,000 in-kind <br />contributions. They are looking for an additional $8,000, and Mr. <br />Gilley was advised to provide Mr. Pitzer with the above information. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the <br />Government Code, section 551.071 to discuss pending litigation <br />(Sierra Club vs. Babbitt; City vs. Bugge) and contemplated <br />litigation; and sections 551.072 and 551.073 to discuss the purchase <br />of real property. Mr. Guerra moved to adjourn into Executive <br />Session at 9:16 p.m. and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously (Mr. Hart and Mayor Morris not present to vote on this <br />item) . <br /> <br />Mr. Hernandez moved to reconvene at 11:02 p.m. and Mr. Moòre <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration the removal from the table <br />and adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF <br />THE CITY, FROM OPEN SPACE/FLOODPLAIN TO HIGH DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL FOR A 2.685 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE <br />900 BLOCK OF CHESTNUT STREET AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />No motion was made, so the matter was not removed from the table for <br />consideration. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 11:04 p.m. on motion made by Mr. Moore and <br />seconded by Mr. Hernandez. ~om. ~ '". <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />~~~: ~~~ <br /> <br />Council ember <br /> <br />C"'- <br />Ronald K.
