<br />89 89 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting April 10, 1995 Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. <br />Mooney seconded the motion. Mr. Gilley advised this will be the <br />wastewater collection system for the South/Southwest portion of the <br />city. Mr. Hart asked if wells in this area could be put on the <br />city's water system and was advised they could. The Council <br />requested the time frame for this project, and Mr. Gilley advised it <br />is a high priority and will be done as soon as possible. He will <br />provide the beginning and ending dates as soon as they are ! <br />determined. The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the; <br />Ordinance on emergency. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration reconsideration of two <br />Zoning Ordinances. The Council did not wish to reconsider either of <br />the Ordinances. The captions of the Ordinances read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A 22.26 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF <br />RIVER ROAD AND STATE HIGHWAY 80 (1600 BLOCK OF RIVER ROAD) FROM <br />"C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) TO "MF-3" (MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL <br />DISTRICT [HIGH DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />. <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />AN 8.156 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY, LOCATED NEAR THE INTERSECTION <br />OF NORTH L.B.J. DRIVE AND HOLLAND STREET FROM "R-1" <br />(SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT [LOW DENSITY]) TO "MF-2" <br />(MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT [MEDIUM DENSITY]) AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held March 27, 1995, approval of two Ordinances on <br />second reading, adoption of an Ordinance on third. and final reading, <br />adoption of six Resolutions, approval of the Comprehensive Annual <br />Financial Report for the year ended Setpember 30, 1994, approval of <br />expenditures from the Tourist Account in the amount of $3,382.08 <br />($482.08 in connection with the Santiago, Mexico delegation visit to <br />San Marcos, and $2,900.00 for the purchase of city lapel pins) on <br />consensus. Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held March 27, 1995, approval of the two Ordinances <br />on second reading (Mayor Morris abstaining to Item 6.B.[2] and Mr. <br />Hart voting Nay on Item 6.B.[2]), adoption of the Ordinanèe on third <br />and final reading, adoption of the six Resolutions, approval of the <br />Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the year ended September <br />30, 1994, and approval of the expenditures from the Tourist Account <br />in the amount of $3,382.08 on consensus and Mr. Cox seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. The captions of the Ordinances <br />and Resolutions read as follows: <br /> <br />Approval of Ordinances on second reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />AMENDING THE CITY'S FRANCHISE FOR OPERATION OF A RIVER TAXI <br />SERVICE BY THE SAN MARCOS BREAKFAST LIONS CLUB BY APPROVING AN <br />INCREASE IN THE RATE OF FARE FROM $1.25/PERSON TO $1.50/PERSON; <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1994-1995 <br />FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR SETTLEMENT OF THE SAN MARCOS <br />JOINT VENTURE VS. CITY OF SAN MARCOS LAWSUIT; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />(Mayor Morris abstaining to the preceding Ordinance; Mr. Hart voting <br />Nay to the preceding Ordinance). <br /> <br />Adoption of Ordinance on third and final reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING ARTICLE IX OF CHAPTER 5, BUILDING CONSTRUCTION <br />AND RELATED ACTIVITIES, OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES TO <br />PROVIDE FOR CITY REGULATION OF ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS TO <br />
