<br />127 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting January 23, 1995 Page 2 <br /> <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF <br />THE CITY FROM OFFICE AND PROFESSIONAL TO COMMERCIAL FOR A 1.58 <br />ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1400 AQUARENA SPRINGS DRIVE <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to u <br />speak for or against the amendment. No one did, so Mayor Morris <br />closed the public hearing. Mr. Hernandez moved for adoption of the <br />Resolution and Mr. Moore seconded the motion. On roll call the <br />following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Moore, Mooney, Hart, Cox, Hernandez. <br /> <br />NAY: None. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: Morris (to avoid perception of a conflict). <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br />A 1.58 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1400 AQUARENA SPRINGS <br />DRIVE, FROM "M" (SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD <br />BUSINESS DISTRICT) AND "R-l" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT <br />[LOW DENSITY]) TO "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the zoning amendment. Mr. Gilley advised the Council our bond <br />consultants did not recommend our updated schedules until after the <br />adoption of the budget, and we now need to amend to allocate the <br />funds to the appropriate line item. The Council voted unanimously <br />for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1994-1995 <br />FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR GBRA SURFACE WATER <br />ALLOCATION; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. <br />Cox seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />
