<br />8 <br />Regular Meeting April 11, 1994 Page 8 <br />Mayor Morris introduced the City Manager's Report. Mr. Gilley had <br />no report at this meeting. <br />Mayor Morris introduced the city Attorney's Report. Mr. Taylor had <br />no report at this meeting. <br />Mayor Morris introduced the City Council's Report. (1) Mr. Guerra <br />advised the Council he has invited TML Region VII to meet in San I <br />Marcos in August for their next meeting. (2) Mr. Gilley advised ¡ <br />the Council Staff is working with San Marcos Consolidated <br />Independent School District Staff to try to prepare firm information <br />to present in the near future at a Joint Workshop of the City <br />Council and School Board. (3) Mayor Morris asked when the Council <br />could meet for a Budget Workshop, and some of the Council indicated <br />they preferred to try to meet over a weekend. (4) Mr. Cox asked <br />about a dumpster being made available and the scheduling of a <br />community cleanup. Mr. Gilley indicated he would try to offer some <br />alternatives regarding cleanup projects at the next meeting. (5) <br />Mr. Cox asked if there was an Ordinance regarding light source <br />pollution, and was advised there is not. (6) Mr. Moore offered <br />congratulations to Albert Sierra and the Housing Authority for <br />pursuing the housing project and locations for the housing. <br /> .; <br />Mayor Morris introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the <br />Government Code, section 551.071, to discuss pending litigation <br />(Sierra Club vs. Babbitt; Burleson vs. city of San Marcos; Ortiz vs. <br />city of San Marcos; Sharp vs. civil Service Commission), and matters <br />where the city Attorney's ethical duty to the City clearly conflicts <br />with Government Code, Chapter 551.
