1 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OCTOBER 10, 1994 PRESENT: Mayor Kathy M. Morris Mayor Pro-Tem * Fred Guerra Council Members Billy G. Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced the ten-minute citizen comment period with the City Council. No one signed up to speak. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration confirmation of the City Manager's appointment to the civil Service Commission. Mr. Gilley requested confirmation of the reappointment of Betty Banks. Mr. Moore moved to confirm the reappointment of Betty Banks and Mr. Mooney seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of three appointments to the Library Board. Mr. Moore moved to appoint Greg Davis, Mr. Mooney moved to appoint Gwen Smith, and Mayor Morris moved to appoint John Holtermann, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting held September 26, 1994, approval of an Ordinance on second reading, adoption of two Resolutions, approval to bid two parcels of City-owned property, 501 Valley Street and 401 Jackman Street, and approval for the expenditure of $1,950.00 from the Tourist Account to be used in connection with the Texas Municipal League Conference and Exhibitor's Booth October 26-29, 1994, in Austin, Texas, for the purpose of promoting tourism to San Marcos on consensus. Mr. Hart moved for approval of the minutes on the Regular Meeting held September 26, 1994, approval of the Ordinance on second reading, adoption of the two Resolutions, approval to bid the two parcels of City-owned property and approval for the expenditure of $1,950.00 from the Tourist Account on consensus and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
