City Council Meeting Minutes May 17, 2016 <br />Stephen Ramirez, spoke about how the science has already been conducted and <br />that this has already been decided. He stated that the council made the <br />decision. He said that no one comes here just for Cape's Dam. People come <br />here for the complete river no one will miss anything. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Prewitt, seconded by Council <br />Member Derrick, that the Consent Agenda Items #5 -13 be approved, with the <br />exception of Items #8 and 13 which were pulled and considered separately. The <br />motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 7 - Mayor Guerrero, Mayor Pro -Tem Thomaides, Council Member Prather, Deputy <br />Mayor Pro Tern Prewitt, Council Member Hughson, Council Member Derrick and <br />Council Member Gregson <br />Against: 0 <br />5. Consider approval of the following: <br />April 29, 2016 - Packet Meeting Workshop Minutes <br />May 3, 2016 - Regular Meeting Minutes <br />6. Consider approval of Ordinance 2016 -14, on the second of two readings, amending the <br />Official Zoning Map of the City by rezoning a 0.58 acre, more or less, tract of land out of the <br />T.J. Chambers Survey, Abstract No. 2, located at 1331 Old Ranch Road 12, from "SF -6" <br />Single - Family District to "MU" Mixed Use District; and including procedural provisions. <br />7. Consider approval of Ordinance 2016 -15, on the second of two readings, amending <br />the official zoning map of the City by rezoning a 2.3 acre, more or less, tract of land <br />out of the William H. Van Horn Survey No. 107, Abstract No. 464, located West of <br />IH -35 at 202 Posey Road, from "AR" Agricultural Ranch District to "GC" General <br />Commercial District; and including procedural provisions.. <br />8. Consider approval of Ordinance 2016 -16, on the second of two readings, approving <br />the abandonment of an eight foot by 172 foot, more or less, unimproved section of <br />Patton Street on the west side of Gravel Street, subject to the reservation of a Public <br />Utility Easement within such abandoned section, the removal fences within such <br />section and replatting the abutting property to combine it with such section; <br />authorizing the City Manager to execute a Quitclaim Deed to the abutting lot owner at <br />804 Gravel Street upon payment of the fair market value of said abandoned street <br />section; and declaring an effective date. <br />Meeting went into Recess <br />Meeting Reconvened <br />A motion was made by Mayor Pro -Tem Thomaides, seconded by Deputy <br />City of San Marcos Page 6 <br />
