<br />122 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting September 26, 1994 Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, NOMINATING CANDIDATE(S) AND SEEKING THE RECOMMENDATION <br />BY THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE FOR APPOINTMENT TO NATIONAL <br />LEAGUE OF CITIES COMMITTEES, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Mooney <br />seconded the motion. Mayor Morris moved to table the Resolution <br />until Mr. Guerra was present and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously (See Page 5). <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of <br />the Regular Meeting held September 12, 1994, adoption of an <br />Ordinance on third and final reading, adoption of eleven <br />Resolutions, approval to authorize receipt of bids for the sale of <br />Lots 12, 13, 14 and 15, Block 8, Victory Gardens First Addition <br />(305-307 Armstrong Street) "as is", approval for use of contingency <br />funds in the amount of $5,500.00 to match a grant to Hays Caldwell <br />Council in the amount of $110,000.00 for the "Families in Focus <br />Program (previously considered by Council February 28, 1994 for <br />Drug-Free San Marcos) on consensus. The Council removed Items <br />9.C. (1) and 9.C. (8) to be considered separately. Mr. Hernandez <br />moved for approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held <br />September 12, 1994 (Mr. Hernandez abstaining), adoption of the <br />Ordinance on third and final reading, adoption of the remaining nine <br />Resolutions, approval to authorize receipt of bids for the sale of <br />lots in Victory Gardens, and approval for use of contingency funds <br />in the amount of $5,500.00 to match the grant to Hays Caldwell <br />council for the "Families in Focus Program" and Mr. Moore seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously.
