TO EXTEND THE TERM <br /> OF THE VENDING SERVICES CONTRACT FOR ONE YEAR; AUTHORIZING THE <br /> CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A LETTER AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN THE CITY AND G. A. POWERS COMPANY TO EXTEND THE TERM OF <br /> THE ANNUAL CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF WATER METERS FOR ONE <br /> YEAR; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON <br /> BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A LETTER AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN THE CITY AND ERNST & YOUNG TO SET THE TERMS OF THE <br /> AUDITING SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR THE CITY'S FISCAL YEAR ENDING <br /> SEPTEMBER 30, 1994; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE <br /> AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY dF SAN MARCOS, <br /> APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A PROPOSED AGREEMENT WITH <br /> THE GREATER SAN MARCOS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL AND THE SAN <br /> MARCOS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE RELATING TO AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br /> PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 1994-95; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER <br /> TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE SAN MARCOS <br /> CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF HOTEL OCCUPANCY <br /> TAX FUNDS DURING THE CITY'S 1994-95 FISCAL YEAR; AUTHORIZING <br /> THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS CONTRACT; AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT <br /> BETWEEN THE CITY AND MUNICIPAL CODE CORPORATION FOR <br /> RECODIFICATION OF THE CITY'S CODE OF ORDINANCES; AUTHORIZING <br /> THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE <br /> CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration Item 9.C. (1) removed from <br />the consensus agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which <br />was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A TAX ABATEMENT <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AND BUTLER <br /> MANUFACTURING COMPANY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE <br /> THE AGREEMENT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Hernandez moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion. Mayor Morris moved to amend the Tax Abatement <br />Agreement as follows: Page 2, section 2.A. to read, "Butler agrees <br />to construct improvements (the 'Improvements') on the Property, the <br />total estimated cost of which is approximately $2 million, for the <br />expansion of Butler's San Marcos manufacturing facility for <br />pre-engineered metal buildings. Butler shall complete the <br />construction of the Improvements by August 1, 1995," Page 2, section <br />3.A. to read, "The existing and any real estate or ad valorem <br />property taxes hereafter imposed by the City on 100% of the increase <br />in taxable value pf the Improvements shall be abated for one year, <br />provided that Butler satisfies all of its obligations under this <br />Agreement. The one year of Real Property Tax Abatement (the <br />'Abatement Period') shall be the tax year 1995," Page 2, Section <br />3.B. to read, "The Tax Abatement shall not include any equipment, <br />inventory, materials, or other personal property, nor shall it <br />include any increase in the value of the land upon which the <br />Improvements are situated," Page 3, section 4.B. to read, "At all <br />
