<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING
<br />LOT 5, MUNICIPAL AIRPORT SUBDIVISION, CONSISTING OF 0.92 ACRE,
<br />MORE OR LESS, LOCATED AT 2407 IH35 SOUTH, FROM "C" (COMMERCIAL
<br />DISTRICT) TO "LI" (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT) AND DECLARING AN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE.

<br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to
<br />speak. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr.
<br />Moore moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Mooney
<br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
<br />
<br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and
<br />adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as
<br />follows: . .

<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS, AMENDING EXHIBITS A AND B TO SECTIONS 30-27 AND 30-35,
<br />RESPECTIVELY, OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES TO INCREASE
<br />WATER AND SEWER RATES AND, FOR A PORTION OF EACH CALENDAR YEAR,
<br />TO INSTITUTE A SCALED MINIMUM BILL BASED UPON METER SIZE AND AN
<br />INVERTED RATE STRUCTURE IN THE CITY'S WATER AND SEWER RATE
<br />SCHEDULES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEAtING ALL
<br />CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND DECLARING
<br />AN EMERGENCY.

<br />bill. 13,001 gallons to 25,000 gallons - $2.21 per 1,000 gallons or
<br />fraction thereof. . . ., Exhibit A", Page 2 at bottom of page, under
<br />UW-1D: 2 inch water meter and greater: first 13,000 gallons -
<br />$60.30 minimum. 13,001 gallons to 25,000 gallons - $2.76 per 1,000
<br />gallons or fraction thereof. . . ., Exhibit B, Page 1 under Rate -
<br />US-1D: 2 inch water meter and greater: First 13,000 gallons -
<br />$48.24 minimum bill. Over 13,000 gallons -$2.17 per 1,000 gallons

<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS, SETTING THE TAX RATE FOR THE 1994 TAX YEAR, LEVYING
<br />TAXES FOR THE USE AND SUPPORT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF
<br />THE CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1994, AND
<br />ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1995, PROVIDING A SINKING FUND FOR THE
<br />RETIREMENT OF THE BONDED DEBT OF THE CITY, AND DECLARING AN
<br />EMERGENCY.

<br />Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and for
<br />the blanks within the Ordinance to be completed as follows: RECITAL
<br />2. The Tax Assessor. . . at the meeting of September ~ 1994, in
<br />SECTION 1, to set the rate at forty-six cents ($.46), in SECTION 2.
<br />A. maintenance and operation fourteen and ninety-three hundredths
<br />cents (14.93 cents), and SECTION 2.B. principal and interest and the
<br />retirement of the bonded debt thirty-one and seven hundredths cents
<br />(31.07 cents), and Mr. Mooney seconded the motion, which passed
<br />unanimously.
