PART 1. The San Marcos City Council hereby supports continued funding of Lone <br />Star Rail and the completion of the current Environmental Impact Study to include all options <br />throughout the public environmental process, including a potential Union Pacific alternative, for <br />the routing of the passenger rail line. <br />PART 2. The San Marcos City Council hereby supports the Lone Star Rail District <br />to remain as the lead agency to bring commuter rail service to the Central Texas Region and <br />opposes any effort to remove the Lone Star Rail project from the CAMPO Regional Mobility <br />Plan. <br />PART 3.
