<br />17 <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting July 25, 1994 Page 4 <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Morris returned to Item 8.D. on the agenda, adoption of an <br />Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF CITY OF SAN MARCOS GENERAL <br />OBLIGATION BONDS, SERIES 1994, IN THE AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL <br />AMOUNT OF $5,300,000; PRESCRIBING THE FORM OF SAID BONDS, . <br />LEVYING AN ANNUAL AD VALOREM TAX TO PAY SAID BONDS, AWARDING I <br />THE SALE THEREOF; APPROVING THE OFFICIAL STATEMENT; ENACTING <br />OTHER PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. <br />Guerra seconded the motion. Mayor Morris moved to amend Page 4, <br />Article III,..Section 3.02(b) to complete the blanks as follows, <br />"1995-2002 - 8.40%, 2003 - 5.40%, 2004 - 5.45%, 2005 - 5.55%, 2006 - <br />5.65%, 2007 - 5.75%, 2008 - 5.85%, 2009 - 5.95%, 2010-2013 - 6.00%/ <br />and 2014 - 5.50%," and Page 19/ Article VII, section 7.01(a) to <br />complete the blanks as follows, IISouthwest Securities, Inc. . . ./ <br />plus a premium of $-0-. . . .", and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. The Council then voted unanimously for <br />adoption of the Ordinance on emergency. <br />. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration Item 8.E., adoption of an <br />Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, WATERWORKS AND SEWER SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS, NEW SERIES <br />1994, IN THE AGGREGATE PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF $1,000,000; <br />PRESCRIBING THE FORM OF SAID BONDS; AWARDING THE SALE THEREOF; <br />APPROVING THE OFFICIAL STATEMENT; ENACTING OTHER PROVISIONS <br />RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />! <br />Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. .- <br />Mooney seconded the motion. Mayor Morris moved for amend the <br />Ordinance on Page 5, Article III, Section 3.02(b) to complete the <br />blanks as follows, "1995-2000 - 8.40%, 2001 - 7.00%, 2002-2003 - <br />5.40%, 2004 - 5.50%/ 2005 - 5.60%, 2006 - 5.70%, 2007 - 5.80%, 2008 <br />- 5.90% and 2009 - 6.00%," and on Page 22, Article VII, section <br />7.01(a) to complete the blanks as follows, IISouthwest Securities, <br />Inc. . . . plus a premium of $-0-. . . .," and Mr. Mooney seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council then voted <br />unanimously for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency. <br /> <br />The Council then moved to Item 10 on the agenda. Mayor Morris <br />introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the Regular <br />Meeting held July 11, 1994, approval of one Ordinance on second <br />reading, adoption of two Ordinances on third and final reading, <br />adoption of seven Resolutions and authorizing the expenditure of <br />$1,766.25 from the Tourist Account of the Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund <br />for the El Mercado Project on consensus. Mr. Guerra moved for <br />approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held July 11, 1994 <br />(Messrs. Guerra and Moore abstaining), approval of the Ordinance on <br />second reading, adoption of the two Ordinances on third and final <br />reading, adoption of the seven Resolutions and authorizing the <br />expenditure of $1,766.25 from the Tourist Account of the Hotel, <br />Occupancy Tax Fund for the El Mercado Project on consensus and Mr. <br />Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
