The motion carried unanimously. <br />26. Consider adoption of Ordinance 2009-35, authorizing the issuance and sale of City of <br />San Marcos, Texas, General Obligation Bonds, Series 2009• not to exceed principal amount <br />$4,495,000; providing for the security for and payment of said bonds; prescribing the form <br />of said bonds; awarding the sale thereof; approving the official statement and a bond <br />purchase agreement; and enacting other provisions relating to the subiect <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Thomaides, the City Council voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed, to approve Ordinance 2009- <br />35, as previously captioned. Consider adoption of Ordinance 2009-36, authorizing the issuance and sale of City of <br />San_ Marcos, Texas, General Obligation Refunding Bonds Series 2009• approximately <br />$10,015,000, preliminarv, subiect to change; providing for the security for and pavment of <br />said bonds; prescribing the form of said bonds; awarding the sale thereof, approving the <br />official statement and a bond purchase agreement; and enacting other provisions relating <br />to the subiect. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made b Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Thomaides, the City Council voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed, to approve Ordinance 2009- <br />36, as previously captioned. The motion carried unanimously. <br />28. Consider adoption of Ordinance 2009-37, authorizing the issuance and sale of Citv of <br />San Marcos, Texas, Tax and Revenue Refundin Bonds Series 2009• approximately <br />$11,800,000, preliminary, subiect to change; providing for the security for and payment of <br />said bonds; prescribing the form of said bonds; awarding the sale thereof, approving the <br />official statement and a bond purchase agreement; and enacting other provisions relating <br />to the subiect. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Thomaides, the City Council voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed, to approve Ordinance 2009- <br />37, as previously captioned, and amended to reflect that property tax will not be required for the <br />debt as long as enough revenue is set aside. The motion carried unanimously. <br />29. Update by Mavor Narvaiz on the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization <br />Capital Area Council of Governments and National League of Cities <br />Mayor Narvaiz reported that CAMPO had $29 million in funds to allocate to Travis, Williamson <br />and Hays counties. None of the projects we submitted were eligible because they required too <br />much money, and CAMPO wanted to more evenly distribute the funds among the counties. • <br />RM061609 Minutes Page 6
