<br />65 <br />Regular Meeting February 14, 1994 Page 4 <br />Ordinance on emergency. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, CALLING A BOND ELECTION TO BE HELD WITHIN SAID CITY; <br /> MAKING PROVISION FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE ELECTION; CONTAINING <br /> OTHER PROVISIONS INCIDENT AND RELATED TO THE PURPOSE OF THIS <br /> ORDINANCE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. ! <br />Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. <br />Plummer seconded the motion. The Convention Facility/Recreation <br />Facility Task Force recommended the community activity center be <br />located next to the new public library. The Council directed the <br />removal of the parkland restriction be placed on the ballot also. <br />Staff was directed to place this issue in the Election Ordinance the <br />Council will consider on Tuesday, February 22, 1994. The Council <br />voted unanimously for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration reconsideration of four <br />Zoning Ordinances. The Council did not wish to reconsider any of <br />these Ordinances. The captions of the Ordinances read as follows: <br /> ~ <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br /> 0.82 ACRES OF PROPERTY, LOCATED AT 408 S. GUADALUPE STREET, <br /> FROM "I" (INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT) TO "LI" (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL <br /> DISTRICT) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br /> PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1518 RANCH ROAD 12, FROM "CO (COMMERCIAL <br /> DISTRICT) TO "MF-4" (MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT [HIGH DENSITY]) AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. ' <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br /> 9.42 ACRES OF PROPERTY, LOCATED AT 2001 RIVER ROAD, FROM "PD" <br /> (PRE-DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT) TO "P" (PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL <br /> DISTRICT) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING <br /> PROPERTY LOCATED AT 821 ALABAMA STREET, FROM "M" <br /> (SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT [LOW <br /> DENSITY]) AND "P" (PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT) TO "MR" <br /> (MOBILE HOME AND RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT) AND DECLARING'AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br />on third and final reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX C - SUBDIVISIONS OF THE SAN MARCOS <br /> CODE OF ORDINANCES BY REVISING THE DEFINITION OF SUBDIVISION, <br /> AND ADDING A RESTRICTION ON THE DEPTH OF LOTS AND BY MAKING <br /> OTHER CLARIFYING REVISIONS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; í <br /> REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A PENALTY; ! <br /> PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.' - <br />Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the Ordinance on third and final <br />reading and Mr. Mooney seconded the motion. Mr. Plummer moved to <br />amend the Ordinance as appeared in Mr~ Taylor's memorandum to the <br />Council dated February 11, ,1994, and with' suggestion for amendment <br />from Planning Commissioner Irene Hindson, as follows: "Section H. <br />Lots. . . . 3. For each lot, the lot depth shall not exceed three <br />times the lot width. This provision does not apply to the replat of <br />lots which were platted prior to March 10, 1975, as long as the <br />ratio of the depth to the width of the lots involved is not <br />increased ÈY the replat," and Mr. Mooney seconded thè motion, which <br />passed unanimously. The Council then voted unanimously for adoption <br />of the Ordinance on third and final reading. <br />
