Cheryl Pantermuehl, Kyle Maysel, Scott Maier, Martha Latta, John Navarette, Phil Neighbors, Tim Haney, Rob Robinson, and others. Mayor Moore called the meecing to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Moore imroduced the ten-minute citizen comment period. Kyle Maysel, Attorney, stated although he was in favor of the downtown sidewalk renovation project, he was not satisfied with the choice of Bradford Pear trees being planted. He supplied the Council with a letter of various experts in the field for Council to review. Rob Robinson stated he would like to see the Council plant native trees in the dowmown area and stated he was not satistïed with the four pe3.r trees and two live oak trees. Daniel Hosage stated he felt the choice of trees was inappropriate and felt there were a lot of native materials of size that would be more suitable. Mr. Hosage volunteered planes for free to reflect the history of the area. Michael Scanio stated that his concern with the trees was the growth. He did not feel the trees would work in that area once they began growing. Martha Latta stared the pear trees would not provide shade to the area and would cover the building fronts at maturity. She recommended plaming a diversity of trees which coordinate with the history of the area. Ms. Latta stated she would like the Council to use the professional resources available in this town. Linda Keese and Spring Lake Garden Club expressed their support of the bird sanctuary. She felt this could be used as a tourism tool and invitation to others to move into the area. Billy McNabb thanked Ed Mihalkanin and Kyle Maysel for their imerest in the dowmown sidewalk project and felt the pear trees would not work because of the canopies in the downtown districL : Mayor Moore imroduced for consideration approval of a board appointment to the San Marcos ' . Electrical Board. Mr. Hernandez moved to appoint Oren Tranbarger, which passed unanimously. Ms. Hughson requested home addresses for board nominations in the future. Mayor Moore introduced for consideration reconsideration of a Zoning Ordinance. No one wished to reconsider the Ordinance.
