Felix Reyna stated he was still <br /> being denied the right to build his home in San Marcos and felt if the Council did not waive his <br /> permits he would have to file a lawsuit against the City of San Marcos. He stated he cdntacted <br /> the County Judge regarding his feelings of being treated unfairly. Mayor Moore suggested Mr. <br /> Reyna comply with the requirements for building his home or take action against the City. Mr. <br /> Guerra recommended Mr. Reyna contact his lawyer if he was not satisfied with the requirements <br /> of the City. Ray Stone stated on May 2 at 9:00 a.m. he contacted the Planning and <br /> Developmental Services Department regarding some construction with a bulldozer near his <br /> backyard. He stated he questioned Ivar Gunnarson about the construction because he felt his <br /> actions were being done illegally. He asked the City if any permits had been issued for this <br /> construction to be in progress. After several calls to the City and three hours later, a stOp order <br /> was issued. rvfr. Stone stated his concern was the response time of the City for environmental <br /> dangers. Ms. Huffman stated once the City had been contacted and discovered no permirs had <br /> been requested or granted, a stOp order was issued on the construction site. Ms. Huffman stated <br /> the property would have to be restOred and permits would have to be administered to begin <br /> _. construction. Becky Jenkins, Springlake Garden Club, stated their support for the Bird Sanctuary <br /> ! <br /> I Ordinance. Nick Icossipentarhos extended an invitation to the City Council for a breakfast with <br /> the Grand Master of Texas Masons on Friday, ~fay 15, 1997, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. <br /> Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a board appointment to the 1997 Blue Ribbon Bond <br /> Committee (temporary). Ms. Hughson moved to appoint Vicki Williams, which passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> * Mr. Gilley and ~fs. Womack not present at this meeting. <br />
