Mr. Hart moved to appoint Johnny Pearce, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a board appointment to the Human Development <br />Commission. ;\¡fr. Guerra moved to appoint Ofelia Vasquez-Philo, which passed unanimously. <br />, <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration election of Mayor Pro-Tempore and Alternate Mayor \ <br />Pro-Tempore and discussion of duties and responsibilities of Mayor Pro-Tempore. Mr. Guerra <br />moved to elect Ron Hart as Mayor Pro-Tempore, which passed unanimously. Mr. Guerra <br />requested the name of Alternate Mayor Pro-Tempore be changed to Deputy Mayor Pro-Tempore. <br />Mr. Guerra asked if the position of Mayor Pro-Tern had to serve on the CVB Board. Ms. <br />Hughson stated the position called for two Council Members and not specifically Mayor Pro- <br />Tem. Mr. Guerra requested the structure of the CVB and EDC Board be placed on the next <br />Council Agenda. There were no <br />speakers so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. There were no <br />speakers so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Mr. Hernandez moved for approval of the <br />Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the motion. Mr. Cox -asked if this <br />would increase the residential rate. i\-fs. Huffman stated this could cause adverse affects; <br />however, that was undetermined at this time. Ms. Hughson asked how businesses were going to <br />be informed of this opportunity. Ms. Huffman stated through the newspaper and the - <br />Manufacturers Association Meetings. <br /> <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration reconsideration of a Zoning Ordinance.
