Ms. Hughson moved to amend 58.040 (a) to remove ". . on or from a city <br />park. ." and insert ". . within the city limits. . " and j\.t~r. Mihalkanin seconded the motion. Mayor <br />Moore stated he would like to see bird sanctuary signs at the city limits. Ms. Hughson stated she <br />has other concerns regarding nuisance birds and other amendments are needed in the Ordinance. <br />Mr. Guerra concurred and moved to table the Ordinance until the next Council meeting and Mr. <br />Cox seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration and removal from the table adoption of an Ordinance <br />on third and final reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AJ.'\f ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SA.'\f MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, SETTING FEES FOR uSE OF THE CITY ACTIVITY CENTER; <br />WCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AJ.'\¡TI PROVIDING FOR PEN.-\L TIES. <br />Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Ordinance on third and final reading and Ms. Hughson <br />seconded the motion. :vIr. Guerra asked Mr. Cobb if "Civic Club'" was specifically defined as <br />non-profiL Mr. Cobb stated that it was not so defined in the Ordinance. Mr. Guerra moved to <br />amend so the definition could become part of the Ordinance to state "non-prom: civic club fee'" <br />and Mr. Cox seconded the motion. Mr. Hart asked the definition of "non-profit". Mr. Cobb <br />asked how the Council would like him to handle churches. Mr. Guerra stated churches would <br />not fall under non-profiL Mr. Taylor suggested giving some study time to the definition of - <br />"ci vic club vs. non-protìt" Mr. Guerra withdrew his amendmenL Ms. Hughson moved to <br />amend the Civic Club Fee to read from 11:30-1:30 for weekly meetings; swimming pools to read <br />"Residents $2.00 and Non-Residents 53.00 - includes admittance fee"; under meeting rooms - <br />"Residents and Non-Residents 2 hour minimal"; and under equipment - slide projector and <br />screen 510.00 each and overhead projector and screen $10 each and yIr. Hart seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Guerra moved to table the Ordinance for staff to review <br />the issue and verbiage of "Civic Club vs. Non-Profit" and \ilr.
