Ms. Hughson seconded the motion <br />which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration the appointment of three appointments <br />to the Cemetery Commission. Mayor Moore stated they had received applications from <br />Rugel Sowell, Alisa Hale and Ginger Griggs. Ms. Womack stated Carol Booth had also <br />asked to be nominated. Mayor Moore stated Ms. VanGundy and Mr. Arredondo would like <br />to be considered for reappointment. Mr. Moore moved to reappoint Helen VanGundy, <br />appoint Rugel Sowell and reappoint Richard Arredondo, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration the appointment of four appointments to <br />the Ethics Review Commission. Mr. Cox moved to nominate Sandra Davidson. Ms. <br />Hughson moved to nominate Alisa Hale and Ginger Griggs. Mr. Mihalkanin stated he had <br />spoken to Ms. Hale and she was requesting the Council nominate her to the Citizens <br />Review Commission instead of the Ethics Review Commission. Ms. Hughson withdrew <br />Alisa Hale's name. Mr. Cox seconded the appointments of Ms. Davidson and Ms. Griggs, <br />which passed unanimously. The remaining two appointments will be rescheduled. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration the appointment of seven appointments <br />to the Citizen Review Commisison. Ms. Womack stated this board "is not an on-going <br />board and everyone is eligible for reappointment. Mr. Mihalkanin nominated Alisa Hale, <br />Mr. Moore nominated Soila Rodriguez and Mr. Hernandez nominated Ray Perez, which <br />passed unanimously. The remaining appointments will be rescheduled. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration the appointment of one appointment to <br />the San Marcos Electrical Board. The Council agreed to consider this item at the next <br />meeting. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration the appointment of a member to the 1997 <br />Blue Ribbon Bond Committee. Mr. Mihalkanin moved to appoint Augustin Lucio to replace <br />Herb Sanchez, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning <br />Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY, OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE <br />CITY BY REZONING A 12.0 ACRE TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED IN <br />THE 1200 BLOCK OF LEAH DRIVE NEAR ITS INTERSECTION WITH <br />WONDER WORLD DRIVE FROM "MF-5" MULTI-FAMILY DWELLING <br />DISTRICT (HIGH DENSITY), "C" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT AND "LB" <br />LIMITED BUSINESS DISTRICT TO "C" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; <br />INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR <br />PENALTIES. <br />Mayor Moore opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. There were <br />no speakers so Mayor Moore closed the public hearing. Mr. Hernandez moved for <br />adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Ms. Hughson seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor Moore introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning <br />Ordinance, (Item 5.13.) the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE <br />CITY BY APPROVING A TRANSFER OF DEVELOPMENT RIGHTS AND <br />REZONING THE RECEIVING ZONE, A 13.64 ACRE TRACT OF <br />PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE 1700 BLOCK OF RANCH ROAD 12 NEAR <br />ITS INTERSECTION WITH BISHOP STREET FROM "MF-2" MULTI-
