Call To Order <br /> With a quorum present,the CBDG-DR workshop of the San Marcos City <br /> Council was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Thomaides at 5:33 p.m. <br /> Monday, July 25, 2016 in the City Council Chambers, 630 E. Hopkins, San <br /> Marcos, Texas 78666. <br /> II. Roll Call <br /> Mayor Guerrero was absent due to buisness travel. <br /> Council Member Prather arrived after roll call at 5:50 p.m. <br /> Present: 6- Mayor Pro-Tern John Thomaides, Council Member Jude Prather, Deputy Mayor <br /> Pro Tern Lisa Prewitt, Council Member Jane Hughson, Council Member Melissa <br /> Derrick and Council Member Scott Gregson <br /> Absent: 1 - Mayor Daniel Guerrero <br /> 1. Presentation by AECOM, Inc., the City's disaster recovery grant consultant, <br /> Discussion and Direction to Staff regarding the Community Development Block Grant <br /> - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Grant process, including requirements of the Federal <br /> Register Notice 5938-N-01, Risk Assessment, Needs Assessment, Action Plan and <br /> grant implementation. <br /> Mayor Pro Tern Thomaides opened the meeting with an introduction of <br /> AECOM,Inc., the City's Disaster Recovery Grant Consultant, regarding the <br /> Community Development Block Grant—Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Grant <br /> process, including requirements of the Federal Register Notice 5938-N-01, Risk <br /> Assessment, Needs Assessment, Action Plan and grant implementation. <br /> Marisa Mason, Project Manager with AECOM introduced Lael Holton, <br /> Planning Manager. Mr. Holton presented a presentation of the needs <br /> assessment recently completed to the City Council. <br /> The Council held discussion regarding having Pastors in the Blanco Gardens <br /> neighborhood assist in gathering feedback. Staff and AECOM will provide <br /> information regarding what a buyout is and what a relocation is to the public. <br /> Staff will provide Council with the assessment that the Greater San Marcos <br /> City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />
